As someone said ealier this poll, this is an issue of popularity and is just about the volume of people in LA vs SA. LA county has 9.8 million, Bexar County has 1.6 mil. If Kobe is not ahead at least 3:1 or 4:1 then he statically is a loser.

In the end the real scientific poll done by Forbes shows Kobe is the least liked player in the NBA. He may be a great player, but the NBA will be better off once his arrogant ass is off the court.

Stats and accolades mean everything when you're giving an award like this. Gratefully, Kobe ends up on the short end of the 'stick'..... The question is who is the athlete of the decade. There is no denying that Kobe is more physically more "athletic" than Duncan, but in every other aspect of what it means to be a professional athlete, Duncan is far superior to Bryant. No question about it.
