Technically Kobe had Shaq for the three peat (where he wasn't the first option), but he has shed the shaq stigma with his win last year as the first option. However the mavs with Dirk almost won a championship in 2006 with Dirk as the first option. If you had to pick a player to build a team around, would you pick kobe or Dirk? And why?
We also have to consider it is often easier to build around a big man, than a SG, but in this case, their games are both centered around mid range jumpshots, which makes this interesting.
Personally, I might have to go with Kobe, but I was wondering if there were any interesting arguments in favor of Dirka Dirka.

well honestly, i was looking at duncan vs dirk arguments, and decided to try to compile a top ten for this decade... coz the usual comparisons are AAAALLLLWAYS .. kobe vs duncan, shaq vs duncan, ducnan vs dirk ... and i decided to get creative ..but i guess there is too much "red tape" to get an honest discussion going.
