should be interesting come November 4th, Lakers @ Rockets
^The team took us out of the first round(Yao and Brooks to be more specific). Artest almost lost it for us with his 39% shooting and allowing Roy to look better than Kobe, because he was to slow to stay in front of him.

I don't blame him for wanting out of Houston. The Rockets are a sinking ship, he got the first life boat off of that thing
Artest is HAlirious!!!!!!!!!!!!! That dude sure did get a bad rap for knocking some fool down for throwing a beer at him. He seems like a good guy. A bit sensitive but a good guy.
Someone should tweet him back with a link to Mono's thread about how he is fake tough...
Haha thats some funny , anyone tried the number yet?
He got a bad rap for knocking some fool down for standing 15 feet away from the fool throwing a beer at him.
Don't respond to thunder dan, he is just baiting you....Thunder Dan is the t-long of Cleveland fans
He became the iden y of that team, and they did more with him as the temporary face of the franchise than Yao/Francis/McGrady had in their entire tenures.
i texted him why didnt he come to milwaukee a lil joke with it and he put that on twitter. some1 ask him how do against the spurs
I like how
Tmac can average 30-6-6 in the playoffs on 43% vs. a matchup which exploits all our strengths and lose, while Artest shoots like 34% vs. an extremely favorable matchup and somehow people think Artest single handedly carries us to our success.
Brooks, Scola, Landry, Lowry, etc. are what got us into the second round. If McGrady were playing we would of swept Portland.
I still find it a little ignorant to hear ROCKETS/SAC TOWN fans about Artest jacking up a ton 'o shots with guys like Kevin Martin,Bibby,TMac and Yao sitting with lengthy injuries.
Put him on a club with two other guys that can score and actually show up everynight and Artest is a solid #3 option.
We would have been a better team with a healthy McGrady in Rons' place last year. We went to the second round thanks to Aaron Brooks and Yao, because I don't remember Artest doing in the Portland series to help our cause. Is shooting 39% and being beaten off the dribble 85% of the time some type of incredible leadership skill that I'm not aware of? I admit Artest helped us a few times last year, but Rocket fans know he hurt us just as much. I'm going to try and make this my last post about Artest, because he's not our problem anymore. He's a Laker now and will be until his balls fall off, so good luck to them.
Thank god The Franchise has finally decided to shut the up about Artest, seriously dude please move on. You had about 600 straight post about how horrible Artest is. Ron as the fourth option on my team, I'll take that all day, thanks.
The post was more about giving credit where credit is due. I hate it when uneducated fans try to throw praise on someone without checking the facts.
i admit it, i was the one who accused artest of moonlighting with Goldman Sachs, dabbling in the oil and energy markets.
glad he set the record straight there.
He's having the time of his life. He understands fully the finite nature of the deal:
- Death twitches my ear. "Live," he say, "I am coming."
- Virgil
Arty listened up.
Artest as a 3rd option he will be able to focus on defense and still give good scoring numbers unlike last year where he had to be one of the main guys...can't help but think in L.A Artest is going to be a great fit and a nightmare for teams to guard L.A.
Just wait until Artest thinks he is the first option in L.A , that will be pure entertainment
...Vastly similar to seeing Yao & Mutombo crash & burn.
He simply won't...he knows what L.A is all about. Only an idiot would think Artest would try and take over in L.A when we all know who's team it is.
Stop trying to get your hopes up..makes you look bitter
Artest has already gone on record saying he will concede to the Black Mamba. Isn't it kinda sad, that teams are hoping the best way to beat the lakers is to have artest kill the chemistry. Umm shouldn't other teams gameplans involve trying to actually beat their opponent instead?
Oh btw, If spurs fans think Artest is the only one prone to taking "me-first, team-killing" shots and chucking his team out of games, maybe they should have ordered the league pass last year and taken a look at what Jefferson does. I had jefferson in my fantasy league and dropped him in less than 3 weeks, and no one in my league even bothered to pick this guy up on waivers. Sure he can get you 20 points a game, but look how awful his shooting percentages are, and I know for a fact the Bucks played better whenever this turd was off the floor, you could see it instantly. Nothing that Jefferson ever did last year, helped Milwakee in terms of winning games.
Just like he said Brandon Roy was better than Kobe?
Artest won't kill chemistry on the Lakers. If anything he's good for chemistry. He'll just quietly make them less efficient offensively when he tries to take someone off the dribble and the ball gets swatted at the rim for the 4th time in a game.
