I found it with an early August date. I'm waiting to hear from a couple of people, I'm hoping I get it confirmed.
I'll update it in the Duncan Forum when I know.
Gasol is a finesse player, Odom barely has any ability in the post(especially against good defenders), and Bynum can't even stay on the floor with his tendency to foul instead of play defense..
All impact players, but their bulk won't be a problem IMO..maybe Bynum if he can consistently get to his legendary(!!!) 5-game peaks..
Gasol is obviously a top player btw, I'm just saying it won't be any different..Duncan has never consistently had problems with Gasol in the past though..

Weight has nothing to do with strength. See St. Pierre, Georges.
hey, Spurs finally got their long SF!
I agree.. There's something really weird with the way duncan looks.
It's funny. I always thought that Duncan would naturally slide over to the C position at some point, but he seems to be becoming even more of a PF than ever now that the big boys are no longer in the WC. They adjusted his offense to face the basket and shoot more jumpers last year, and now he's slimming down to more of a PF size.
God damn, its like you copied and pasted my post from realgm.com
Oh wait, you did.

I think the weight loss will help him to play better than he has in years.
Wow. Is Clutch City 01 Tacker? I thought Tacker had the plagiarism le.
And that pic really is making the rounds.![]()
Dropping to 240 def helps him.
Yea, I got that pic from you in another topic :P forgot to credit it in the 1st post, but did in the 2nd page.
No credit necessary, but I do appreciate it. I'm amazed by how it keeps popping up.
I saw Tim at the H-E-B on NW Military today and that picture is pretty spot on. He looks as lean (or skinny, depending on how you see it) as he was when he first entered the league.
There have been a few Duncan sightings the last few weeks and all have said what you have. He's noticeably leaner, we would have known he lost weight even if Ludden hadn't broken it.
I'm not really sure if it will help him or not, but damn he looks too skinny
A healthy Tim Duncan is always reliable, that's the key..we all know that..and this is why he had to do something for his knees..as long as he's healthy, we'll be fine..
its not going to add 2-3 inches to his vertical![]()
Not to mention when we turn the Human Bowling Ball Blair loose on softie Gasol and Bynum. Which is not to say Laker does not have a formidable front line.Originally Posted by Showtime24 LAKERS View Post
I think it'll be better for wear and tear, but he still won't be "quick", and he's going to get banged around by other big guys. Might make the minutes a bit easier on his body though.
Gasol is around 240 so whatever strength advantage had against Gasol, it's gone now.
Gasol, Bynum and Joey Crawford will be tough to overcome.
He hasn't been able to jump for years. I think what they're aiming for is for him to be able to pivot and push off that sore knee.
if only tim duncan is more ripped....drob![]()
That's true; increasing your vertical leap by 200% is hard to do at age 33.
