The ps3 was at where the xbox360 and and wii put together are at now, yet the xbox came out and the and nintendo gamecube came out. So what you said about the xbox not existing in your hypothetical is incorrect.
As for games, the age of the third party exclusive is dead, and both systems have great first party exclusives, you cant be a fan of a an fps and say that halo or killzone suck, when playing you can tell that both games are great in there own way. One catalog of exclusives is not vastly better than the other. As long a list you can bring up of exclusives on one system i can give you equally great exclusives on the other.
The reason why you 11 year old plays xbox is becuase all his friends have xbox, more so than the games, your 11 year old knows everything he doesn't about games from what his friends say, and they know from what their older borther says and so one. Microsoft know how to market the out of the xbox and has a year advantage of the ps3, couple that with the initial yness of Sony to price their system at 600 bucks, is what gave the xbox its initial bump, before the price drops started to effect the system. If the quality of games is what made the system , everyone would still be playing the ps2 because it has a library of amazing games that would last a lifetime if a person was not swayed by whats hot and new.
you have no facts to prove what you are saying. if everyone was informed , no one would buy monster cables for 100 bucks, xbox would have built in wifi, and the ps3 would could with a hdmi cable that cost 1.5 dollars to produce. If people where in forms they would know that the human eye cant tell the difference between 120hz and 240hz lcd tv's.

Second, you're putting an incorrect spin on my posts. I'm not doing that to you. I never said you said any of those things. What I did imply is you have some sort of vendetta against the 360, something others have noted as well.

I absolutely get under his skin. It's why he originally started this 'feud'. In all honesty, I don't mind 85% of his posts. , even agree with some of them. But the other 15% annoy the out of me.

i disagree. Back in 2007 that was fanboyism. Believe you me, I have a couple friends who owned PS3s that talked some rowdy back then when I got an e74 error and M$ wouldn't cover it (1 actually had her PS3 go out on her...) then followed it up with a RRoD and video issue within 1 year.
And it was also back then that this joke circulated, in the same or similar forms. I even cracked it a couple times myself considering I own both a working SNES and Sega Genesis, if only to make me feel better.
well... back to playing wolfenstein.
