Duncan would never do that.
Hypothetically speaking, how would you feel if Duncan retired, and then unretired to join a division rival like a Dallas, or Houston, or even worse, the Lakers? Packer fans feel betrayed and hurt that their legendary QB Brett Favre signed with the Vikings. Would your perception on Duncan change if he pulled the same stunt?
Duncan would never do that.
I'd only be sad if Robinson and Ice joined him on the roster. With Si bringing up the ball that team will be off da hook!
im sure packer fans said the same about brett favre about goin to minn. but yeah duncan is three times the athlete favre will ever be
Tim is not one iota the queen that Farve is but in answer to your q.
If for example Popazit plays Mike Finley and Bonner 30 minutes per game this playoffs in an 0-4 sweeping and Holt rewards 'Zit behavior yet again, this time by further promoting him to "Dictator of All Things Spurs", i would sadly hope Tim would go to a team that would utilize him for another championship.
we get it already ....
This statement speaks for itself. I should remember this when I get the urge to respond to noted poster.
but you don't.
That's what sad.![]()
What we don't get is why the Spurs have become something angering or saddening for you, instead of exclusively being a source of entertainment.
Two completely different sports.
So? Each performs in a league comprised of the best in the world at that sport.
This is a BS post.
I'm from Wisconsin. The Packers management has been ing Favre around for over 5 years. Favre wanted the Packers to make a commitment to get better and become a Super Bowl contender.
Instead, the Packers management used Favre. They knew no matter how bad the Packers sucked, they would still sell tickets and be on national TV if they had Favre.
An excellent example of this was two years ago. The Packers could have aquired Randy Moss for a measly 4th round draft pick, as Favre wanted. But no! The Pack held out for only a 5th round pick, so Moss went to New England and scored 34 touchdowns in only two seasons, and topping 1000 yeards both seasons.
The Spurs management would NEVER act like the Packers management, so the question of what Duncan would do is moot.
You know if a player wants to play and a team wants him what the heck is the issue? If I was Farve I would do what I wanted to and could give a rats ass of what people think about being retired or playing...its his life!
I for one have always wanted David to come back but thats just me.......
Please... that would never happen.
Purple makes him look fat; and he's not very good at football.
Duncan has 4 rings, maybe 5 when it's all over and has made an ass load of money. When his deal is up with the Spurs if he wants to retire it will be i am sure for good. He is not the type to take 3 months to think about it, then retire, then come back demanding his old job and say " you" to the team if they don't automatically give it to him..
EXACTLY. You need to know who your quarterback is going in. Your Power forward? Not so much. Green Bay was getting sick of Farve's fence sitting every year for the last 5. I think SA would welcome Tim back any time. There would be no need to move on like GB has to with their QB situation.
Seriously man...can you post anything without bashing Pop? The thread is about Duncan.
You are quickly moving towards KBP status among posters here.
+1
Favre made the right move for him, GB made the right move for them, and fans of both should be happy about it.
Duncan would not pull a Favre because he is not an attention .
That's why I like T.D.
Then all is lost.
Wouldn't happen because we would not sit or ask Duncan to retire when he still wants to play. We would do that to Bowen but not to Duncan.
Best post in this thread.
It would be complete bull if Duncan did that but I would say there is a 0.0000000001 chance of it happening.
maybe packer fans wanted to believe that but Favre has always had an ego. Duncan is the anti-ego.
