Yea, I was thinkin of the startin 5. Shoulda looked at the rest of the team b4 I said that haha.
+1
Add Oden, Lewis, Love & Evans
as much as we all love defense...but scoring wont be easy for those guys against the other teams!
YESssss!! 13th, my team is the !!! Actually, i could care less, ha. Will be interesting to see if the 2k9 gurus predictions are accurate, I have a feeling being its a videogame that predictions will probably far from what actually happens-i just hope i stay in the top 13!
After the sim I am more than down to do another playoff bracket with the series winners decided by vote after each other makes an individual case for their team. After that I'm also down to convert these to fantasy teams.
But of course I'm going to do massive trading in the times in between to get my team ready for each event.
Are you sure you can put 100 for all?
In 2K7 being too heavy on 1 meant sacrificing the other.
For example, crashing the boards too heavily meant sacrificing fast breaks. Close shots meant sacrificing 3s. etc
Phila you do mine, I ain't got a clue with 2k9 and don't really care.
If I had to pick a coach for my bunch it'd be Coach K, but NBA...hmm. Maybe George Karl/Don Nelson. You do the math.
Just give me Okafor for Beasley or Millsap then. I got other ideas.
wait...I gave you a proposal for okafor as well!
stupid question: where can I change these coaching profiles again (I simply cant find it, even though I know I did it before)
I will get to Phila about the coaching profiles later on.
Eagerly awaits the winner.
M-V-P! M-V-P! M-V-P!
Argh, Phila, what are the seedings?
lol, I think everyone has lost interest already
btw.: I didnt get one...not one!...proposal for Wade!![]()
LOL-well drafting was kind of fun-but this is most likely a FAIL. ha. It could be fun to use them in the future for other reasons, but the whole 2k9 premise was always dumb imho, how can you have a fair draft when half the people (probably, or more) don't have or play the game... not knowing ratings on players' different skills in the game is like drafting blind, because we all know how videogames rate players skills is FAR from the reality of their actual skills-sometimes they get it right tho.
I agree...but it made me play the game again(not with my drafted team, but in general)
really looking forward to the twist draft thing.
but for now, lets bring it to the end...at least for the 3 or 4 managers that are still interested.
btw.: can somebody explain the twist draft again?
Sure thing. If it is concerning a 12 man roster, first the teams draft their franchise player, so everyone has one. In this first round, you can select a player from any draft class who is still playing.
Next we go in snaking order, for example, we start with the 1998 draft class. The person drafting has to consider that winning is the only thing. In this round, you can choose players from the 1998 and older draft classes. Which means, you could select Rasheed Wallace from the 1995 draft class, but not someone like Darko Milicic who is drafted in 2003.
So, we do this until 2009. Trading future picks are allowed as it depends on your foresight and more research as you would have to find players for each draft class and plan your draft. For example, the 2003 draft class could be useless although there are superstars, they tend to become your franchise players.
Only winning matters as you could not have youth factored in since you are selecting in every year.
sounds cool for me...two quesions remain:
1) is there only one voting after all the rounds, or one per year? (I guess the former)
2) are the players as of right now, or peak? (I guess the former again)
stupid me, we could even fill our teams after one year...so only qeustion 2 remains
but I have another question: what exactely is "snaking order"?
I thought 2k9 was just a complement not the judge of our drafts but maybe I'm wrong
whats this twist drafting thing all about-i mean i get that-but are you guys doing another draft? And how do you judge the teams? By winning? What do you mean-are you doing 2k9 to determine? I want in , ha
i agree with this. i see i got the much needed respect my team deserves
For example, you draft first in 1998, then you will draft last 1999.
Too scary to draft at peak as some players have not reached there yet, so it would be current state. Unless you want to do an all-time draft.
