    Ahh, got some conformation.

The ultra-stacked UFC light-heavyweight division just got a little deeper with the recent addition of “Little Nog” Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Nogueira’s twin brother, and fellow UFC fighter Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira recently spilt the beans during a media conference call for UFC 102 which will be featuring himself and Randy Couture as a headliner.

“They’re going to announce that,” said the former UFC champion in regards to his brother’s arrival in the UFC. “I don’t know when. They’ve already talked to him, so for sure he’s coming to the UFC.

Additionally, MMAJunkie.com has been able to confirm through a source close to the fighter that he has recently been removed from a Bitetti Combat event scheduled for September 12 in his native country of Brazil, so an Octagon debut for “Little Nog” could be in the very near future.

Nogueira has established himself as a premier light-heavyweight, compiling an impressive record of 17-3 while competing for the PRIDE, Sengoku and Affliction promotions. He has notched wins over highly regarded fighters such as Kazushi Sakuraba, Dan Henderson, and Alistair Overeem to name a few.

Nogueira’s last appearance saw him avenge a prior defeat at the hands of Vladimir Matyushenko by TKO in January.

Sweet pic...also, the long rumored fight is on!

Fighters Only reports that o Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman is set for UFC 106. MMA Authentics executive Mike DiSabato has since confirmed the report.

The fight will be Ortiz's first since May of 2008. Ortiz hasn't won since his October 2006 TKO of Ken Shamrock. Since then, he has lost to Chuck Liddell, Lyoto Machida, and settled for a draw against Rashad Evans.

Coleman is coming off a victory at UFC 100 over Stephan Bonnar. Prior to that win, he had not won since February 2006.

UFC 106 is scheduled for November 21st at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

    No doubt...

People will think Nog dropped to 205 lbs...

Big Nog / Lil Nog works just fine

    Or Rodrigo / Rogerio...

Or Minotaura / Minotoro? (I think)

Thats what I think too since he beat the previous "top contender" in Kongo, but Rothwell will be a tough test for him.

    Noogie Accepted..

And i like Cain, a lot. He's a great fighter. Just didn't love that he didn't put Kongo away. What Brock did to Mir when he had him in a bad spot (The quick finish) that's what Cain needs to beat some of the monsters in the division. We'll see how he progresses, right now i don't think he can beat Brock, but that's just right now..

    He's young..

The way Anderson looked last time out, it's crazy for anyone to ever pick against the man again, until someone beats him. He is the best pd for pd guy in the world, without a doubt.

    Mir sounds off on Fedor...

    http://mma.fanhouse.com/2009/08/21/f...ghters-in-ufc/

    this is from July '08...

The most interesting comments in the show came from UFC heavyweight Frank Mir, who doesn't follow the UFC company line when discussing Affliction's Fedor Emelianenko.

"I think Fedor is the best in the world," Mir said. "He's so well-rounded. There's not really one aspect of his game that strikes you as overhwleming He's not the greatest striker, he's not the greatest wrestler or submission artist.
what he does do, though, is transition from one to the other. He can really expose your weakness."

However, Mir follows all that by picking Tim Sylvia to beat Fedor. You can bet that was the only part of Mir's analysis that Dana White enjoyed.

    UFC 105 (England)

Plus the RUMORED main and co-main events:
    - BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez
    - Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang
    - Dan Hardy vs. Dong Hyun Kim

    I like those 3 matchups a lot!

e TV and the UFC will be announcing details of the UFC 103 preliminary special that will air commercial free on e. The special will be a one-hour special, not two as preciously reported, and will feature TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero against Cole Miller as well as Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal. This is a move by the UFC to counter program against the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez PPV, which will run against UFC 103 that night.
