Coach A on 1250. Paul Alexander is easily the best on the air in San Antonio. I think he's on from noon til 3 now. He's insightful, humble and well spoken. He's entertaining but not pandering. I hate the whole "d-bag" and "flat in the front, holmes" stuff from Mike Taylor and Jim Bob. I also dislike the "scoping the babes at Rio Rio" stuff from Chris and Jason.
Not to say those two shows don't have any merit, I just find them completely obnoxious at times.
One subject that Chris Duel gets too much flak for is sticking up for Hall and Oates. Hall and Oates has some incredible music. Jason Minnix needs to drink some of that tequila that they are always peddling and listen to some "Sarah Smile" and tell me it's not incredible.

I don't listen to local radio anymore. Strictly satellite.
Seems like most local shows want to turn the people of San Antonio into Dallas kiss asses...
The sports grind is the best show in san antonio

ESPN 1250 The Zone with Chris Duel & Jason Minnix is the best! I am so glad Cowboy camp is done as I was tired of listening to the show when it was all about that! They are funny and entertaining!
Chris Deul sounds like an ass gobblin, the taylor and jim bob show is hillarious
In order for there to be a "best", shouldn't there be a good one first?
I find it kinda boring. I would call it bathroom wall humor. Funny when you first see it, but after a while you kind of wish they would clean it up and try to be a little less junior high.
I will say that it was funny when they were at Cowboys camp. They counted how many Dallas radio stations were there (2 I think) and messed with a TV station with a bullhorn. Then they looked around, counted all the other San Antonio stations and, well......
then I tune over to 1250 for soemthing and hear "Live from Rio Rio Cantina...."
Too funny.
But yes, Coach A is easily the best on air personality (which I didn't used to like at first). The only time I'm up early enough to be able to hear the Morning Drive, I still can't because I'm at work at that time (go in at 4 a.m.). As for worst, that would be Chris and Jason.
Ticket 760 is consistently better from the Morning Drive to STSA and The Grind.
Taylor and Jim Bob are atrocious. They just suck really bad. Absolutely hate it.
The best ? I'll take the 760 morning show, unless they are going on and on about golf. That's tired.
andy and peter are pretty good i used to like mike taylor but now its just boring and tired .The sports grind is amusing

Let's see, according to the ratings released on 8-21 KTKR is sitting DEAD LAST (well next to last, it's ahead of bob fm out of Austin.....) and ESPN (KZDC?) doesn't even show up, so I think it's safe to say there really isn't a 'good' sports talk show in SA.....And that's just sad, I stopped listening to both stations when all they talked about were Cowboys, cowboys, cowboys, cowboys, cowboys.....someone at those stations needs to get a clue about programming, it's really bizarre because both Austin stations are rated much better in their respective markets than the SA stations, and it's because both of them have much,much better shows....
Taylor needs to take his junior high school humor back to dallas, because sorry boys NOBODY LISTENS ANYMORE.....
The morning drive is alright. They have a tendency to talk about things I am not even remotely interested in (golf), but they hold their own. The rest are varying degrees of bad - sports grind, stsa, and the zone being the worst offenders.
Morning Drive. FTW.
