I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what movies are good in the Blu Ray format?

I got blu ray on my laptop... and I got 300 as my first movie...
it just looks epic.
I've heard that you must have Planet Earth though.
What about T2 or Kingdom of Heaven?
not a movie but this is the only bluray I own

90% of people who buy planet earth are pretentious , they will watch one hour, then let it collect dust forever
a great cgi movie for blu ray is guns of the patriots.
I seen them all, and some disc I seen twice because it a 4 disc set
luva u actually like Chronicles of rid ? just wondering most people think its bad, but i think its a badass sci-fi movie just like pitch black-pretty much the character of rid is just badass.
As for blu-ray, watch the matrix reloaded on it-for the freeway scene alone it is 100% worth it...i bought the whole blu ray matrix collection-that's a purchase i definitely will never regret. amazing
I don't trust blu ray with that friggin' HDMI. I had nothing but troubles with it when using a blu-ray player at work for showing self-recorded material. The player always assumes I am using a pirated disc and the screen remains blank.
Other than that I agree that action movies look awesome on Blu-Ray.
congratulations you are in the 10 percent, i don't see the point of your post, useless and self congratulatory
planet earth, wall-e
Bram Stoker's Dracula. Saw I did not notice on regular DVD
Braveheart, too.![]()

UFC best of 2008 looks awesome on bluray
would BR discs look any better on a regular non-HD TVs than regular DVDs...? Probably not, I'm kind of behind the times on this stuff
I figure I would reply to the post that didn't help with what the original poster ask.
Didn't want you to be off topic by yourself so I join in.
no it wont, checkout slickdeals daily and you can get a 40in 1080p for cheap, good brand too. right now there is a special for a sony one at sears.
IMO it does look a little better. No way it compares to a good HDTV but there is something special about tube CRTs that still "look good"
unless your are watching your dvd's analog and your BD on a 6 color component that is available on the newer tube crts you really shouldn't. max is 480p
