Sounds like he was no better than TO or Moss when on the field.
Only important part of the article is posted
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...yhoo&type=lgnsHarrison had an at ude problem. Cleverly hidden for years behind Harrison’s Garbo routine is that he and quarterback Peyton Manning(notes) didn’t get along, which could be the fault of either player. However, there is a memorable exchange that an opposing coach once had with Harrison before a game in 2006. When the coach noticed that Harrison was catching punts in warmups, he walked over to Harrison to ask what was going on.
“Marvin smiled a little, just a little, and then said, serious as a heart attack, ‘It’s the only way to get the ball around here,’ ” the coach said of a player who set an NFL record with 143 grabs in 2002 but was limited to just 80 the past two seasons.
Harrison has been deemed to be just as much a diva as a number of other receivers – without the high-profile public displays. That said, it allegedly annoyed plenty of people, which is why the Colts ultimately cut ties with him in the offseason.
Sounds like he was no better than TO or Moss when on the field.
yeah..I've heard that before...I was wondering why Dallas didn't go after him, and then I heard about his at ude, and was glad they didn't. They were trying to eliminate that from the locker room, not add it.
Of course Marvin wanted the ball, and rightfully so. I highly doubt he was as much of a as T.O. and Moss. But he went about it the smart way, not crying to the media.
That's true. At least he didn't go crying to the media. It was all kept in the team.
as a Colts fan, did you ever hear anything about Marvin having an at ude problem?
When you become half of the best tandem in nfl history, you can do what you want.
But this article is lame.
MAnning made up about 75% of that tandem. Maybe more.
Usually a dude rocking a bunch of firearms isn't going to be a choir boy.
Not when Marvin was in his prime.
Manning never won playoff games until Wayne came around.
Wayne > Harrison
agreed
You may be right. I don't think Harrison ever chode bloaded Assamoonga the way Wayne did.
Manning makes the both of them. Manning, in my eyes, will go down as the greatest QB of all-time.
And Awesome one chode bloads everyone on 10.
True dat!
I already think hes the best QB I've ever seen, and is #1 in my book.
Over Tom Brady? I mean look at what Brady did with average wideouts compared to what he did with Moss/Welker. Brady has put up damn good numbers with less and put up sick numbers when he had weapons.
I am not knocking Manning at all. In fact he is one of my favorite qbs in the league. I even put him at 1a. I just have to give the edge to Brady seeing what he has done over the years.
Oh yeah
lol Raiders.
Harrison is no Moss or Welker and Manning put up 49 TD's in 15 games. Brady put up 50 TD's in 16 games while having a much better O around him.
I'd take Manning 10 times out of 10.
Difference is Brady has played with far superior defenses and superior coaching/cheating tactician. Dont get me wrong Brady is phenomenal aswell.
Well... Moss is definitely a much bigger threat than Harrison.
But Harrison >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Welker.
But the presence that Moss brings is hauling in TD. Harrison never was the TD threat that Moss is/was.
