I was waiting for the NY coach to start dropping F-bombs.

San Antonio Coach talking to pitcher: "How are you doing? what do you want to throw? Ok just hit your mark and remember to Have Fun!

New York Coach talking to pitcher: "YOU NEED TO CONTROLL YOUR PITCHES! DONT SHAKE YOUR HEAD AT ME, YOUR PITCHES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!"

The coach is almost as impressive as the players. He is very cool and calm and always stays positive. Even when the team is down or the pitcher is a little off. I am pumped and ready for the next game.

Is anybody else watching the Georgia vs. California game right now?? It's tied 10-10 in the 5th. It's been just a crazy game with both teams having big leads at some point.

You gotta love this coach. Watching the game against NY last night, you could see the NY coach really being negative with his boys..telling them what would happen if they did something wrong. These are kids..they just want to have fun playing the game..they don't need the stress....let them play...Our coach just puts a smile on his face and tells them to have fun. I loved when the boys were in a tough situation, and Cardone asked him what he wanted him to pitch, and he asked Cardone, "What do you want to pitch?" This could be a team of destiny..and I hope it leads to many more appearances, no matter what. I heard on 1250 today they were trying to get things rolling for a River Parade...that would be great.

Yea i guess but LA is probably 3 hours from Chula Vista. That team is def a San Diego team-I'll be rooting for them-but either way don't care too much, glad both cities are represented. The games are kind of fun to watch, brings back little league memories.

    Funny Article on MYSA.

    http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/LIttle_Leaguers.html

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA. — McAllister Park players stood in a circle outside Lamade Stadium when a group of teenage girls inched closer and closer.

When the girls got about 5 feet away, Kyle Pollard's cell phone rang.

“The one in the green shirt is calling me,” Pollard said. “She's my stalker. This is like the ninth time this has happened.”

McAllister Park players are getting the rock-star treatment at the Little League World Series. They sign autographs, smile for cameras and even have to dodge stalkers.

    By the way — they're still 12- and-13-year-olds.

McAllister's heroes, such as Nick Smisek and Zach Morrow, basically have transformed themselves into South Williamsport's version of teen heartthrobs Nick Jonas and Zac Efron.

The players have team “uncles” who wake them up and keep their schedules, cafeteria workers who clean their dishes and a staff that provides full laundry service every day.

They've been inundated with Facebook requests and text messages from strangers.

And at the Little League complex, players end up signing about 50 autographs each day — most for kids, some, oddly, for adults.

“An old man gave me an Emmitt Smith action figure because he saw on TV that he was my favorite player,” said Pollard, whose team plays in the U.S. championship game Saturday. “That was the first action figure I ever got from an old man I don't know.”

McAllister Park's favorite part of the rock-star life: the girls, of course.

Most of the McAllister Park players have had one or two girls follow them around the complex. Pitcher/shortstop Steven Cardone has become the most popular with the ladies.

One of the quietest players on the team, Cardone arrived in South Williamsport with a following after his star performance on national television two weeks ago in the regional final.

“It's pretty weird,” Cardone said. “I don't really know what to do a lot of the time. The good thing is that I don't have a cell phone, so I just give them Kyle or Wyatt (Willis') number and I don't have to talk to them.”

Willis claims to have collected 26 phone numbers. His success is touching only the surface of the team's overall fandom.

Two girls showed up to Sunday's game against Russellville, Ky., wearing homemade jerseys of their McAllister crushes, Drew Brooks and Troy Montemayor.

“I mean, they were nice and took our pictures and got our autographs, so it was cool,” Brooks said. “But yeah, she made a jersey with my name on it. That was weird.”

Some of the parents are amused by the attention their kids are getting. They'll let their sons soak it up before reality hits back in Texas next week.

Other parents weren't ready for this to happen to their 12- and 13-year-olds. They hoped this wouldn't happen until their sons were 30.

Some of the players were watching another game from the hill behind Lamade Stadium's outfield when the admirers began swarming again.

After seeing one group of girls getting too close, John Shull's mother, Be Shull, approached her son to shoo the girls away.

“The autographs are cute,” Be said. “But I'm not used to the girls being so forward. They're aggressive.”

It's not just the girls. McAllister Park players love the environment. The Little League complex has transformed into a free-for-all version of a middle school cafeteria — or that last day of summer camp.

Morrow was talking to one group of girls earlier in the week when a reporter walked up and the girls scattered.

“Go stand over there,” he shouted at the reporter. “You blew it. You stopped the shark attack.”

Cardone, Travis Daves and Morrow walked by another group, but they didn't even break stride when the girls waved.

Once the girls passed, a huge smile came across Daves' face.

“We already have their numbers,” he said.

I agree. It would be nice to show these kids that the entire city is behind them and proud of what they have accomplished. But if they don't win, them. They don't deserve .
