I'm trying to make a shirt for my grandmother using my school logo. But, I do not know how to manipulate and enlarge photos to make it larger so it does not get pixelated when I put it on the shirt.

Please could somebody help me but removing all the black on the outside of the picture (past the white border surrounding the bird)? And, also enlarge it without pixelating it so that I'll be able to shrink it, or not even make it bigger without messing it up? Any help is appreciated thank you in advance.

I'm not sure if it's already to a good size to transfer to a shirt, I have no idea about dimensions and such.

Cropping the black out is easy. As for the enlargement 100% more is about the limit after that pixelation will show up and I would imagine it's still too small. Enlarging pictures without pixelation is only possible in Sci-Fi movie and CSI

Anyway here's a 100% enlargement without the surrounding black:

you're better off making a vector image of the above... use adobe illustrator or similar to do so. if you don't know how to do such then hiring someone who does know how will do the trick but it can be costly.

Beautiful vectoring, kw. It looks absolutely sweet.

And he's right, an enlarged vector would be awesome. Your mascot is really, really well done!

^ thank you... sometimes i'm nice to you all, see. i give back. haha. would've been better but i didn't really want to spend a ton of time on a project i'm not getting paid for so that's the best it's gonna get.

to the OP, if you don't know what to do with that AI file i can make you an EPS and you can take it to any printer and they should know what to do with it. btw, how are you getting this printed? 1 color, 2 color, 3 color, 4 color, 5 color, 6 color, 7 color, or pressed?

one more thing, your school doesn't sell shirts of their own? that popped in my head 1/2 way through completing that image. i just thought it was a bit funny.

    Very nice job Koriwhat.

Do you mind telling me which software did you use?

I'm a coreldraw fan myself, but I can use Ai if I have to.

    Nice!

I don't have much time for my production these days, so I'll pass. Maybe something to do when I retire

I actually won a couple of international underwater film festivals. One of them with the Key Largo film that's on the site.

My ex used to vector all the time like that in photoshop. It was insane. She barely used the mouse because she knew every keyboard shortcut.

So you did it in Photoshop?

Even nicer! Photoshop is not the most friendly programme for doing these sort of things (although it can be done).

i did it in adobe illustrator but it is very possible to do in photoshop as well with its vectoring tools. i just prefer illustrator for this type of work more than a raster imaging program like photoshop.

I agree, that's why I was a little surprised when you mentioned Photoshop.
