then how are you posting? Last I checked he got 7 runs on him.
hey ATRAIN, how did Washburn do today my computer is broke
then how are you posting? Last I checked he got 7 runs on him.
hahaha, oh ok, I thought my computer was broken but it turns out he really did get s ed today! I'm making the comeback!
lol oh are you? The reason why I lost bad last week was cause I was pretty much giving myself that playoff spot and Karma spanked me. Thanks for turning back against you.
I scratch and claw until the very end. I don't quit. Champions never quit and Goonies never say die!
NOOOOOO! Tim didn't start Carlos Guillen on a day he is 4/4 with 2 home runs!

If A-Train can go 2-8 against Mel he's in.
If Melmart goes 9-0-1 against A-Train she's in.
If Melmart goes 9-1 against A-train it's a tie and I believe Melmart holds the tiebreaker(OBP and she'll have won more games in their matchups if she goes 9-1).
YHIIBI will show to be within 10 games of A-Train but due to the matchup between Mel and A-Train, any scenario which allows YHIIBI to tie or beat A-Train also means Melmart wins the spot by at least a half game....
IOW...
BUH-
Bye
Dan.
Buh-Bye now.

I know we're still a week away from the playoffs -- I've been hard-pressed to keep up because: (1) life has changed dramatically (mostly in good ways) since this season began; and (2) my team has sucked so badly for so long (and my internet access during the work day has been very limited) that I've not been as diligent as I should have been -- but I just want to be sure that I have some certainty about a transaction cap for the post-season.
My recollection was that there had been an agreement about capping moves during the post-season, but can those who will be the combatants in that chase confirm or deny that for me?
Oh, and -- jeesh, my team has just absolutely sucked. I apologize to all of you for having put together such a joke of a fantasy team.
Damn, why couldn't FWD bend over and take it like a man? He had to fight me and my pitching staff, which decided to take a nap this week. I doubt I can put that epic of a hurt on Atrain, but that won't stop me from trying. At least I won't finish behind Dan.
At least my team had one prideful effort to cap a shamefully bad season . . . .
Yeah, but did they have to have it against me!? I am trying to make the playoffs here! You know you like me more than Atrain! Although that isn't saying much ... cus nobody likes Atrain.![]()
Just so ya know Mel, you can finish behind him...you've got a 1 1/2 game lead on him I believe.
Shhhh! I am trying not to think of that.
Whup A-Train and you're golden.
Yah, it's 5 moves per week. I guess 1 add = 1 move. Drops don't count as moves really unless they are moving someone off the DL...
I'm actually not sure if moving a guy off the DL counts as a move or not, we didn't really discuss it. But I know it only counts as a waiver move if you are adding someone to your roster....according to the waivermove counter in the standings.
Just hatching the other stuff out...Bashers can pass me next week, Alamo can pass Bashers, A-Train can pass Alamo, and Melmart can pass A-Train.
Anyway, good season FWDT and the rest of the guys, it's down to Melmart VS A-Train now.
BTW FWDT, the main thing I saw wrong with your team....you had too many projects that weren't contributing until it was too late. Basically those were dead roster spots that no one else had and you were playing with a short roster. In terms of player ranks you had one of the best teams in the league. I think I looked one time and you had the most top 100 hitters and pitchers(the most in both categories), and this was when you were in dead last place...but then there was a huge drop off after those players and the level went from very good to doing nothing, completely skipping mediocre. Too many projects that took too long to arrive I think...they eventually did arrive though so there's that at least.

I'm just glad I survived April. My team is hot right now but makes me a little worried that they shot their load too early. I guess we will see.
This season has been fun. We have a great league and I hope we can keep it going for next season.
Oh, I agree. I listened a bit too much to some of the fantasy wonks' rankings and no enough to my own feelings about projects -- Wieters would probably be a good pick next year, Chris Davis flatly sucked while with my team. Still another problem is that I got into a place where I was taking "the best available player" with several picks, and ended up with a bunch of quality OF, but no real depth in the infield or at catcher. And my belief that I could trade the OF for other needs never seemed to materialize. The other problem that I had was that I didn't balance my pitching particularly well and was scrambling for the first several months as a result, and I gambled (unknowingly) on Brandon Webb -- I can recall sitting there trying to decide between Webb and Haren -- and got about 6 crappy innings out of him all season.
No one could've anticipated Webb having to have shoulder surgery.
No shame in that.
it's a sad day in Fantasy baseball land (well Sunday) when the real organic teams and their fans missed the playoffs to computer generated rosters. This is no different than using steroids. It only cheats the fans
Anyway. Ill be back to capture the crown next year and I propose these changes to make the league better:
1) Minimum and Maximum number of starts per week. You need to start 5 pitchers a week, and can only start a maximum of like 8.
2) Obviously I proved we need a transaction limit.
3) and most importantly Teams that auto draft get kicked out of the league
