everyone here talks about how great of a defender bruce was...did he ever win DPOY? lets not kid ourselves he was VERY overrated. his so called "great" defense mainly involved slapping and grabbing. bear hug defense, avery called it.

if bowen was so good and valuable to our team then why did we trade his ass then? BECAUSE HE WASN'T.

and bowen was one the dirtiest players to EVER play the game. there is no denying that.

i don't get the love fest for bruce and you guys calling him a class act in all these threads is hilarious

Retire his #12 as soon as possible. Bruce was certainly more influential than AJ. He was a prime example of what President Obama will address to our nation's students next Tuesday. Without effort[persistence], natural ability means next to nothing! Our counry needs to stop honoring teams who get to the BCS Bowls and honor those students who achieve academically. Bruce took what he did well and made a career of it. He also honored education by getting his degree in SA. KUDOS to Bruce. I will miss him making Nash crazy!!!
