Chris Madrid's is still outstanding.
chris madrid's is leading with chester's a close second. HOW? WHY? it seems that both are still living on a name they made for themselves YEARS ago when they might have actually been ok. they both SUCK now. i don't know how ppl keep voting these places at the top. for my money, it doesn't get any better than bobby j's.
Chris Madrid's is still outstanding.
In N Out is probably the best I've had.
Red Robin's looks real good, but I've never been to one.
Not a Fatburger fan? Fatburger and In N Out are 1a) and 1b) for fast-food burgers for me.
i dont get the deal with chris madrid's. a thin flat dry patty with tons of melted cheddar topped with a damn salad....it's just terrible.
I've only ate Fatburger once and I can hardly remember eating it. It was like 2 years ago, though.
I agree. I never got the appeal.
In & Out FTW.
The bun is always nice and buttered and never burnt, the burger while thin is still pretty large and cooked evenly through and seasoned perfectly, and dumping a pound of cheddar on it never hurts. I have been eating there (Chris Madrid's) 15 years and the burger still tastes exactly like it did the first time I went, and it is far and away the best burger I have ever had at any price.
There's a place called the Twisted Root Burger Joint (or something similar) in Dallas that makes outstanding burgers. Had their Chipotle, Guac, & Cheddar Burger w/ Fried Onions the other day. ing inSANEly good burger.
IM, Red Robins burgers are pretty great, too, especially for a chain...their just pricey. Their Whiskey River BBQ Burger is fantastic, ALBEIT pricey.
I thought Tycoon Flats was better than Chris Madrid.
Timbo's is pretty good. Like CM's as well. (not sure if these are #1)
but chester's sucks!
1)5 Guys
2) In-n-Out
3)Swenson's (local drive in joint)
Chester's use to be so good. Now, I live in Austin but I go to San Antonio at least once a month. Seems like every other year or so I forget and I go to chesters and I am so dissapointed. It now taste like a bad whataburger.
In-N-Out
5 guys is bland, overpriced, underseasoned, and not very good at all. Or maybe it's just the one here in Austin - I would hope the original locations would be better. Their fries aren't very good either. I felt ripped off with a free burger coupon when I went. Same with Mighty Fine. Mooyah, on the other hand, is pretty damn good imo. Burger Tex also makes a tasty burger, as does Top Notch.
Is that place that good? I should see if there are any out here.
That's what I've been saying for the better part of a year but these taste bud dead people don't agree....
I came into this thread saying Chris Madrid's...and I'm leaving saying Chris Madrid's
And just so you know, 5guys.com doesn't take you to the burger site.
outdone
Sonic
Whataburger, had this a couple of times in TX
Fatburger(with the egg in the burger)
Sonic sux. Makes me sick every time.
I make a badass inside out burger.
If those are your favorite burgers, you're missing out, my friend. Chester's, Chris Madrid's...I like Whataburger, but they're nothing compared to those two, IMO.
