Head coach of the Greek National Team, Jonas Kazlauskas made a decision which 12 players will represent ex European champion in Poland. Today, he thanked Kostas Papanikolaou and Dimitris Tsaldaris for their efforts this summer.
Greece EuroBasket squad: Andreas Glyniadakis (215-C-81), Nikos Zisis (195-G-83), Kostas Kaimakoglou (206-C/F-83), Nick Kalathis (198-G-89, agency: Arik Krayn Services, college: Florida), Giannis Kalambokis (195-G-78, agency: FCM), Kosta Koufos (213-F/C-89, college: Ohio St.), Giannis Bourousis (212-C-83, agency: FCM), Stratos Perperoglou (203-G-84), Giorgos Printezis (206-F-85, agency: FCM), Vassilis Spanoulis (193-G-82, agency: Beo Basket), Sofoklis Schortsanitis (206-C-85) and Antonis Fotsis (210-F-81).
There is no doubt that the first star of this team is Vassilis Spanoulis, who averaged 14.3 ppg at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Spanoulis is coming of a great season with Panathinaikos Athens, who was Euroleague as well as the Greek champion.
Second main weapon for Team Greece could be Giannis Bourousis, who in Beijing had 11.7 ppg. Last season, he demonstrated impressive performance in Euroleague with Olympiacos.
"Baby Shaq" - Sofoklis Schortsanitis is also possible deadly weapon of Team Greece. He is visibly thinner than in the past and in great shape.
Guard Nikos Zisis is another player who is able to explode on this event. Last summer he had 5.8 ppg. He joined Italian champion Montepaschi.
Greece is placed to Preliminary Group A, together with FYROM, Croatia and Israel. In Day one Greece will meet FYROM. After that, its rivals will be Croatia and Israel (respectively).

Can we not keep insults to NBA forum? I am very tired of the rudeness, and insults that always go in the Spurs forum. I am already in trouble for arguing and the bad language from Kori and am close to a permanent ban. All of this comes from so many times people here calling me names and insulting me or saying very racist things to me and against me.

The hotel at Poznan Poland where Greek team is staying only gave 11 beds for 12 players. The team is very mad because now Zisis and Spanoulis have to share a bed and they are upset about this.
Also the room where Bourousis stays had just a hole where the window is. All hotels are booked in the area and they are stuck in this mess.
