Wow your team blows. Owen Daniels might be the most efficient player on your team outside of Welker.

People who think Courtney Lee is better than OJ Mayo shouldn't really be taken seriously.

Should I make this deal...Shaub for Marshall?

Im in a PPR league that also utilizies a flex spot with QB/WR/RB eligable. My QB is Warner and in the flex spot I was going to roll with Schaub as a 2nd QB. However, I'm lacking at WR wtih Bowe and Holmes as my starters with Holt and Cotchery on my bench. Since this is a PPR league I think it is important to have a solid WR but in this case Marshall is a huge risk. I'm expecting good things from Schaub this season but should I pull the trigger for Marshall onsidering my lack of a No.1 WR?

My teams as of today (10 team league)

    QB: Warner
    RB: Peterson
    RB: LT
    WR: Bowe
    WR: Holmes or Cotchery
    TE: Tony Gonzalez
    QB/RB/WR Flex: Matt Schaub
    Def: Steelers

Neither should people who draft Rashad Mendenhall as a backup running back

Or I just drafted him as a handcuff to Willy Parker.....that couldn't possibly be the case, could it?

    LOL yeah right?
    I picked 7th overall.
    It went:
    1 AP
    2)Brees
    3)Fitz
    4)Turner
    5)Moss
    6)Jones-Drew
    7)Forte
    8)A.Johnson
    9)D'Ang Williams
    10)Westbrook
    11)Romo
    12)Steve Smith
    13)LT
    14)Steven Jackson

then picked Aaron Rodgers at #27 overall. I should have grabbed a WR there but i just think Rodgers is going to be a beast this year.
Romo at 11? Over Brady? Over Manning? What a dumbass.

He isnt the handcuff to Willie Parker though.

How in stupid are you, if he isn't then who is?

  6. #81
Check again got. Mewelde Moore is going to be his handcuff rotating with Mendenhall. Its pointless to even have Mendenhall at this point as Tomlin declared Parker to be the Steelers goal line back too.
Then why is it Mendenhall is being drafted in basically every 12 team league while virtually no league has Mewelde Moore drafted? Why is it he's ranked way higher than Moore on every single fantasy site? Show me an article where it says Mewelde Moore will be getting the same amount of touches as Mendenhall.

So you're saying that if I want Willie Parker's handcuff, I should take Mewelde Moore over Rashard Mendenhall?

Actually, Parker and Mendenhall are going to share the load. With Parker limited in the preseason to a bad hammy, both Mendenhall and Moore(deeper leagues) are worth using a late round pick on.

    Mendenhall:
% owned in all yahoo leagues: 49%

    Moore:
% owned in all yahoo leagues: 5%

Wow, I must be an idiot for having Mendenhall over Moore

So far, the best reason you can come up with for why my fantasy team sucks is cause I have Rashard Mendenhall, if that's my biggest problem I'm in decent shape.

Actually, Parker and Mendenhall are going to share the load. With Parker limited in the preseason to a bad hammy, both Mendenhall and Moore(deeper leagues) are worth using a late round pick on.

Na, Tomlin announced that Parker is their workload back to start the season, and that Mendenhall will get touches when he can.

  10. #85
I am saying that you shouldnt have drafted a Steelers running back not named Willie Parker at all.

Great idea, that way, if Parker gets injured, I'll lose his production with absolutely no way to replace it whatsoever, rather than have his backup who would inherit most of his carries.

  11. #86
Keep in mind, there wasn't a single player available when I took Mendenhall who would have a shot at cracking my starting lineup w/o an injury. You're acting like I took Mendenhall when LT was still available. I took him in the 11th round of a 12 team draft. Your logic here is making no sense.

  12. #87
QB: Donovan McNabb: Decent pick, but Reid has stated hes going to be using McCoy and Westbrook A LOT in the running game.

RB: Stephen Jackson: Decent pick as Bulger is still injured and his backup is Samkon Gado and Kenneth Darby.

RB: Chris Johnson: Good pick, I find him overrated though.

WR: Wes Welker: No need to say anything, matters how Brady is

WR: Lee Evans: Decent pick as the Bills are loving their three headed monster in Lynch, Fred Jackson and Xavier Omen. Jauron runs a real pop warner offense even with Van Pelt at the helm. Evans is a good #2/3 reciever. You have no real #1 Receiver.

W/R: Willie Parker: Decent pick, raising value with what Tomlin said recently.

TE: Owen Daniels: Good pick, really underrated
DEF: Jets: Jets suck, and their defense will always be on the field due to Sanchez being bad

    K: Nick Folk

BEN: Santonio Holmes: Good pick but I see Mike Wallace and Sweed taking away touches.

BEN: Beanie Wells: You have Fitz, Boldin, Breaston and Hightower before he factors in

    BEN: Rashard Mendenhall: Decent

    BEN: Kyle Orton: Sucks

BEN: Laurence Maroney: Sammy Morris plays over him and so will Kevin Faulk

BEN: Cadillac Williams : Sharing carries with Dedrick Ward and Ernest Graham, not enough carries at all

Every year Philly tries to establish a running game, and they never do. Even if they do, neither Westbrook or McCoy are great red zone ball carriers, and a good running game would open up the field. It wouldn't hurt McNabb that much, if at all.

And yeah, I've got no #1 receiver, but I've got two #1 backs, both of which are usually taken in the first round.

You're 100% right about the Jets though. A defense that scored the 5th most fantasy points last year, while their leading tackler from the year before was injured all year, without the blitzing genius they hired, and before they added Bart Scott, Lito Sheppard, Jim Leonhard, really does suck. What an idiot I am for taking that sucky defense.

Holmes isn't a starter on my team, but Sweed is a joke.

Don't tell someone who watched every Cardinals game that Hightower is going to be the primary back when you probably didn't watch a single one before the playoffs. They used a 1st round pick on him for a reason, and it wasn't to sit behind a running back on the depth chart when that running back has no burst, lack luster speed, horrible yards after contact, and a generally useless player outside of short yardage touches and catches out of the backfield.

Orton is my backup who I'll probably drop eventually.

I didn't draft Maroney as someone who I'm going to need production from. I drafted him as a low risk, high reward player. Same with Cadillac Williams.

I would say that Garret Wolfe would have been available from the Bears.
Wow, what an idiot I am. I drafted Rashard Mendenhall over THE GREAT and amazing Garret Wolf. I should go kill myself.

You said there's no point in drafting Mendenhall because Parker is gonna get all the carries. Why is Wolf any different.

  14. #89
I would say that Garret Wolfe would have been available from the Bears. or Sammy Morris from the Patriots. or Ladell Betts from the Skins. Chester Taylor from Vikes?
    Taylor wasn't available.

I wasn't aware that Betts is a massively superior fantasy running than Rashard Mendenhall.

  15. #90
Because Adrian Peterson wont touch any carries this season as Moore is the threat for Mendenhall.

Try making coherent sense when you're arguing.

  16. #91
Wolfe also EXCELS in the screen game and recieving game.

So far, the biggest reason why Rashard Mendenhall was a bad pick is because the Spurstalk poster ReynaldoBalkman claims that Garret Wolf, a player with 9 career receptions, "EXCELS" in the screen game and receiving game. What an idiot I am.

  17. #92
Well your also unaware that Mendenhall has done absolutely nothing in the NFL while Betts has.

Knowshon Moreno has done nothing in the NFL, therefore:

    Betts > Moreno

  18. #93
    Yes, you are an idiot.

Someone who says a player with 9 career receptions "EXCELS" in the screen game and receiving game loses the right to call others idiots.

  19. #94
You also took Mendenhall over Betts and Morris. Yes, you are an idiot.

Mendenhall, 49% owned in yahoo leagues
Betts, 6% owned in yahoo leagues
Morris, 34% owned in yahoo leagues

I'm an idiot, along with mostly everyone plays fantasy football on yahoo.

  20. #95
Matthew Berry has Mendenhall ranked 109 and Ladell Betts ranked 179. I'm surprised ESPN hasn't fired him and hired you yet.

  21. #96
Do I give a what re s in Fantasy Leagues do?

I didn't know you were the smartest person in the world. I must have forgotten your opinion is fact, and even if every other opinion is different, every one of those other opinions is wrong.

  22. #97
    Betts = backup

    Mendenhall = Backup

Marcus Mason behind Betts = Betts getting carries

Mewelde Moore behind/equal with an unimpressive Mendenhall = Split between these two.

How in dense are you? I've said multiple times already that I didn't draft Mendenhall because he's a backup who could get carries. The reason I drafted Mendenhall is because he'll get most of the carries someone with an injury history on my team would get if he was injured.

I never argued Mendenhall will get more carries as a backup than Betts will. The fact is, neither one should be in your starting lineup as is.

  23. #98
Why dont we check out the stats at the end of the year.

No, cause I never argued that Mendenhall would get more stats then Betts. For the 100th time, I didn't draft Mendenhall because I was intrigued by the 3-5 carries he'll get as a backup, I drafted him because of the 20-25 touches he'll get if Parker went down.

  24. #99
Blah blah blah, its called using your ing brain and not listening to Matthew Berry.

So your brain says someone with 9 career receptions "EXCELS in the receiving game and screen game"?

  25. #100
Yes, neither should be in your starting lineup, but Betts is a good backup compared to Mendenhall who has shown absolutely nothing this preseason and last season in his debut he had a 2.8 average.
Then why do you keep talking about Betts being a more productive backup as if I just made the most fatal drafting error in fantasy history? If neither one will crack my starting lineup as a backup, why is their production as a backup relevant?
