Well I'd love to sit and toss Garret "best 9 career reception receiver in NFL history" Wolfe's salad, but I gotta run. It's been real. I guess.
1) Show me where I said anything about Mendenhall being good backup, or
2) Explain how his production as a backup is relevant to this conversation when I said I was never going to start him as a backup.
And don't just restate why he'll be a bad backup, I'm asking why his production as a backup is relevant to this conversation.

Other than a weird fascination for 18 year old boys, i still don't understand why Balkman keeps following DoK around, judging his team by one of his last picks
I could very well have the worst team on these forums, however, I will still end up getting top 3 in my league. That's all that really matters.
I'm with DOK and I want to know how 9 career receptions merits an "excel" in the reveiving game according to Ronaldo? Could it be that you have no idea what the you are talking about and that your googling skills just weren't up to par when you were making things up?
Willie Parkers carries have declined each of the last three years and he looks great when he's not banged up with some kind of hammy or sore knee etc...
I owned him last year.
Fact is that Parker has only scored 7 rushing TD's in the last 2 yrs.............. and he's nearing 30 yrs old already anyway.
IMO Mendenhall is a safer late round pick than taking Parker anywhere in the first 5 rds as your #1 or #2 RB.
My team is loaded
QB - Tom Brady
RB - Deangelo Williams
RB - Willie Parker
WR- Randy Moss
WR- Bernard Berrian
WR- Lee Evans
TE- Owen Daniels
K - Adam Vinateri
DEF - Pittsburgh
Bench
Ben Rothelisberger
Michael Vick
Derrick Ward
Jeremy Shockey
Derrick Mason
No, you brought up Rashard Mendenhall as a backup before I asked why my team sucks.
Because he was a stud at some school in a B-list conference playing against B-list college compe ion.
Keep in mind Balkman is someone who enjoys doing the elephant walk.
And if you compared all NFL running backs and receivers with 9 career receptions or less, Garret Wolfe is the cream of the crop. My team will implode from the fatal mistake I made in the 11th round.
Drafted last night, this is a work league with little maintenance involved, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to whip everyone's ass.
QB: Jay Cutler
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Wes Welker
RB: Adrian Peterson (had first pick)
RB: Chris Johnson
TE: Tony Scheffler
W/R: Willie Parker
K: Neil Rackers
Def: Green Bay
Bench: Bernard Berrian
Bench: Lance Moore
Bench: Eli manning
Bench: Jamal Lewis
Bench: Tim Hightower
Bench: Devin Hester
Bench: Vernon Davis
My team sucks this year. And I just gutted its depth with a trade I made out of pure frustration.
If I pull off a le this year, then I'm retiring.
QBs: McNabb, Quinn, Pennington
WRs: Boldin, Colston, S. Moss, Evans, Moore, Ginn
RBs: Tomlinson, DeAngelo Williams, McFadden, Felix Jones
TE: Witten
K: Crosby
Def: Mia, Phila
Looking to trade for a TE and a better WR.
Yeah you look to be set everywhere else...especially at RB.
Although i think Lee Evans will have a better year than where he's getting drafted at(with TO on the other side).
I tried to steal him late in one of my drafts but some yahoo beat me to it.
Looked at my roster again, and I left out Thomas Jones. So I'm seriously set at RB. I want to combine a WR and RB for a better WR. What kind of package would you put together? I'm looking at trading for either Welker, Bowe, or Houshmandzadeh.
Out of the three guys you mentioned I like TJ Housh the best this year.
I'm staying away from anything KC...they're gonna struggle to score FG's this year IMO
Maybe try to package S. Moss and either McFadden or Felix Jones...whichever guy is the hottest around week 3.
I'm scared to make trades in FFootball.
I'm all about the trade in FBasketball.....I've won championships in FB......my luck in FF has been ty , so maybe you shouldn't listen to me after all.![]()
My 3rd and final league (12 team, standard)
QB: Carson Palmtree
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson
RB: Marion Barber III
WR: Steve Smith
WR: Braylon Edwards
W/R: Willie Parker
K: Nick Folk
DEF: New England
BEN: Ray Rice
BEN: Donald Brown
BEN: Rashard Mendenhall (I know, I shoulda taken Garrett Wolfe)
BEN: David Garrard
BEN: Earnest Graham
BEN: Earl Bennett
I think my team is just good enough to make some noise, but not good enough to win it all.
Frustrating, especially considering that some guys have potential impact players on their bench, not so much to help them win, but to keep them away from everyone else.
Matt Hasselbeck QB
LaDainian Tomlinson RB
Julius Jones RB
Devin Hester RB/WR
Larry Fitzgerald WR
Roddy White WR
Antonio Gates TE
Cowboys D/ST
David Akers K
Bench
Ronnie Brown RB
Derrick Ward RB
Reggie Bush RB
Anthony Gonzalez WR
Earnest Graham RB
Dolphins D/ST
Jason Campbell QB
I'm still tweaking though. I'm going to drop one of my RBs. I haven't decided who I want to start between Devin Hester, Julius Jones, Ronnie Brown and Reggie Bush. Not a single one excites me one bit.
My starting WRs are studs. My D will probably be a matchup start all season. My QBs are huge question marks. And that's after I dropped Cassel for Jason Campbell.
I had a brutal draft position and it shows.
I tried trading for Desean Jackson as someone has him sitting on the bench. No dice. I don't think I have the players to make it work.
The guy I play against Week 1 has Brees and McNabb on his team. er.
I'd start Bush as the RB2 and Gonzo as the flex.
Bush may not be an every week play, but if you don't play him against the Lions, you might as well trade him. The matchup doesn't get any better than that.
I just picked up Shockey and Heath Miller. Looking to trade one of the two with a guy who's got tons of WRs.
I like Miller with the Steelers, but Shockey, healthy, against the Lions. Very intriguing.
As for Bush, yeah, I was leaning that way. I just can't count on the guy to stay healthy, but for the matchup this week, can't beat it. I'll probably bench Hester. Julius Jones against the Rams and LT against Oakland are hard matchups to replace.
Is Larry Johnson any good this year?
I just dropped Felix Jones for him, though I have no clue if he is healthy or not.
I'd take Felix Jones and Beanie Baby > LJ......maybe not for the first few weeks of the season, but after that, yeah.
I love how people throw their team down without mentioning at the minimum how big of league it is. Ha, wow you have a sick team but your in a 6/8 team leaague, big fackin deal, every team should be stacked in tiny leagues.
As for mine this year its a 16 team league (waaay to big), has some f'd up rules like awarding return yards and larger negative points than norm for fumbles/interceptions. It is for money, and I'm not surprised the rules are f'd because the guy who made it is a complete pill popping drugee...but it'll still be fun. Wish I got in on a few more leagues, and doing random ones is just stupid because half the teams play, and idiot drafters-kind of takes the fun out.
Lets just say my team is weird lookin but I think taking into account the rules i did well, getting guys like Sproles and Leon Washington who can get me a ton of return yards and will do plenty in the O too. And I have a load of chargers.
If anyone wants to do another league, I would start one up after week 1 on yahoo with regular format rules...only if you'll actually be active though.
