I'm still the best owner in the league. All the others basically quit or had a computer pick their team.
Just one quit (should have to pay a fine) and letting a computer pick your team has nothing to do with managing it (72 moves).

There's at least one opening left in league 1 and possible 2 if Boogie Woogie is gonna quit over there too.
Dip , you are 9.5 games behind A-Train, and 1.5 behind Mel and Mel is playing A-Train. It is mathematically impossible for you to make the playoffs.
Understand this, if you make up 10 games on A-Train this week, that also means Mel made up 10 games on him, which leaves her a game and a half ahead of you.
IF you make up 9.5, that also means Mel made 8.5, which means Mel is still a game ahead of you.
If you make up 9 games, guess what? You needed 9.5 to tie, and Mel will still be a half game ahead of you.
You cannot make the playoffs.
Strong finishing kick. I want to have that team that gets major props next preseason from all the big magazines for having finished up strong.

Let me ask all you something. If a team is eliminated in real baseball do they just not play anymore games? no. It's a matter of character, and as you all know I'm a character guy. I picked up 2 more closers that otherwise would be on Alamo's,Whott's, ATrain, or Mel's rosters so while I may be out of the playoffs, I still am playing a part as a member of the league.
Usually when a team is eliminated in baseball they shut down their promising rookie staters and or vets who are pitching with various injuries and bring up their positional prospects and let them start playing, unless they have some veterans going for records and stuff...
They do try to win to an extent, but they are trying to do it with projects moreso than with the best team they can field...
Furthermore, their rosters usually, unlike the roster of your team. will be back more or less exactly the same the following year, so they are playing for next year as much if not more than for this year...
Why didn't you just say you're playing for 5th place? Click on the playoffs tab, then click on the consolation tab, and you'll see what I mean.

well if we had a keeper league I would be doing that, but since the guys on my team today might be the guys on your team next year I hope they all get hurt

Not at all...Bashers can pass me this week. And I haven't managed my team into first place for 22 weeks just to give it up on the final week.
Not only that but Alamo's team is red hot as well. He and Bashers deserve one another if you ask me.
