People comparing Stockton and Paul just need to stop. Paul is trying to be that "perfect PG" like Stockton was. Stockton was a sensei in the halfcourt offense.Paul came out a little earlier to the NBA(which is obviously a lot more common), and is only 24. How about waiting another 10 years(at least) before you compare careers. The facts and stats that follow Stockton's career are unheard-of. Made the playoffs all 19 years(Paul missed it in his 1st two, even though it was with a group of d-leaguers).
I agree that Magic transcended the position and was prolly the better all-around player, but Stockton was the best pure PG ever. For Chris Paul to get close to career stats w/ Stockton, he would need another 14-15 healthy seasons(prolly not likely).
Stockton deserves his moment in the sun being easily picked into the HOF, and this thread should be filled with nothing but well-wishers and praise.
