I think this is the year the Angels break through against the Red Sox, Kazmir trade was huge for them. Angels vs. Cardinals, Angels win the WS in 6. I wish I could put my Dodgers in the WS but I don't see how they're going to beat the Cardinals.

I said it last year and I'll say it again this year:
    Angels and Phillies.
    Angels in 6.

Kazmir has been trash this season. The Rangers have the Cy Young, the best young reliever in baseball, and the MVP on their team.

Not in his last six starts and his first two with the Angels, plus he's really good against the Red Sox and Yankees which obviously helps them come playoff time.

Yeah, I'm fine with that opinion. I mean the Red Sox have owned them every post season so I can understand your train of thought. But just from watching them past years and this year and seeing everything they've gone through this year and how they've responded I just think this is the year they finally break through, I could be totally wrong but that's just the feeling I get. I wish I felt the same about the Dodgers

LOL, the Rangers won't even make the playoffs. If they do they're out in the first round.

I'm going to go with St. Louis/NYY, with the Cards taking it all.

I'm a Giants fan, but they're tanking. Wish I could pick them but I just can't---Would be nice though.

I don't see how anyone beats the Yankees this year......same thing I said in 2006.

Hopefully they keep finding ways to lose. CC Sabathia is a huge choker, so that's a good sign.

    CC, Arod, Teixiera, Matsui,

New York has lots of stiffs in the postseason.

If its New York Boston in the first round I bet Boston wins.

    Boston Anaheim in the ALCS?

    Revenge for 2004!!!

You can't play division opponents in the first round, a good rule.

Other than the famous game 7 slam, Johnny Damon is an October scrub.
Jeter really hasn't been anything special in the playoffs since 2001. The assumed playoff success he'll have this year is based more off reputation than anything else.

True....Teixiera, A-Rod, CC, Matsui, Jeter...all of them tend to dissapear come playoff time.

And thank goodness for that. The Evil-Empire deserves all the heartbreak they can get. As ridiculous as BoSox fans have become, their team is still a veteran led bunch that seems to have some team unity. I'll pull for Boston over NYY any day. Besides, I think the ALCS will be Anaheim/NYY. We won't get to see another BOS/NYY matchup this year.

Yanks still have that curse to break DOK. They haven't won a playoff series since 2004 against the Twins. Since then, Boston has cursed them. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Yanks out in the first round yet again. Great regular season team, but they have more playoff stiffs than performers. Boston isn't going anywhere either.

Yeah unfortunately I don't see Boston making any noise in the playoffs. I'm actually surprised they've managed to put together such a good season.

Everytime NY makes the playoffs though, I'm scared their team actually gels and peaks at the right time.

True...since 04' when the Yanks HAVE made the Playoffs...they have failed horribly.
