Isn't this the Gilbert Gottfried joke from the Bob Saget roast?

Looks like Glenn Beck is crying to lawyers.....He's sicking his lawyers on the site glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com. Problem is, they don't have a strong case.
Daily KOSVia Ars Technica, Glenn Beck has sent his lawyers against the owners of the satirical site, http://glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com /.
Apparently he doesn't like it when his own tactics are used against him.
How'd the site come about? Like all satire, somebody just thought it would be funny and went for it:
One of the Fark readers then took the forum meme to the next level, registering a domain name and launching a web site in order to make a point about talking head TV demagoguery. "Why won't Glenn Beck deny these allegations?" asks the site. "We're not accusing Glenn Beck of raping and murdering a young girl in 1990—in fact, we think he didn't! But we can't help but wonder, since he has failed to deny these horrible allegations. Why won't he deny that he raped and killed a young girl in 1990?" At the very bottom of the page was a small text disclaimer saying that the site was satirical.
The site went big, fast -- more than 120K hits in a day after it went up on September 1. Beck immediately went berserk.
Joke was funnier when Gilbert Gottfried did it to Bob Saget as his roast.
it's a joke lampooning beck's style of "journalism" whereby he floats an extraordinary accusation/rumor (that he himself might not believe is actually true), and asks the accused to disprove or defend against said accusation/rumor. kinda anti-american if you think about it.
Ha...well, joke is on me. I never clicked a link about this or in this thread.
<-- Gullible, I guess.
I dont watch the 24 hour news cycle at all. Dateline, 20/20, 60 minutes and PBS...thats it (unless of course its around election time, then its pretty much everything and everyone on TV).
I wouldnt know Beck's tactics, but I do know he is an asshole. But honestly?
There is no one worse than Olbermann (sp?), no one. That guy is actually proud to be a partisan hack...he doesnt even feign neutrality.
you're Wild Cobra
Shhh...
You bad liberal activist you!
Secret Democrat Party Operatives Slander Fox News Star With Rape Charge

Undercover liberal activists took their campaign to silence conservative speech to a new low this September. Their target was bestselling author and Fox News host Glenn Beck. The completely false charge: rape and murder. It began with a single website and eventually grew to include a dangerous consortium of bloggers, Democrat Party operatives, ACORN representatives, ex-cons, sex radicals, members of the radical group FALA and video gamers all propagating the most heinous rumors about Mr. Beck’s alleged hidden past criminal activity.
In early September, a report hit the media grapevine that Mr. Beck had abused and murdered a girl some twenty years ago. Do ents and firsthand accounts purporting to prove this claim were posted on the internet. Unscrupulous bloggers spread the story worldwide. Suddenly, newspaper editorials questioned why Beck hadn’t responded to these accusations and a scandal was born.
That bolded part read like a micca post.
Thanks
Has this thread really made it this far? The ing site says plain and clear that it's a parody...this is really sad. Are people really looking for to say about Glenn so bad that they're too blind to see the big writing on the top right that says "PARODY SITE" lmao. And this is at the bottom of the page... ing read...
Notice: This site is parody/satire. We assume Glenn Beck did not rape and murder a young girl in 1990, although we haven't yet seen proof that he didn't. But we think Glenn Beck definitely uses tactics like this to spread lies and misinformation.
Read the last sentence again. That's the point. Read it a third time and ignore the name of the site itself, because anyone who believes that we're trying to actually get people to believe Glenn Beck raped and/or murdered is *whoosh* missing the entire point. So don't be dumb like a lot of people are. I greatly expanded this text because so many people *read* it, and *still* didn't understand.
The bold part does describe a LOT of people in here...lol. You liberals are reaching..lol..bigtime.
"members of the radical group FALA and video gamers all propagating"

and hip-hoppers too. they must be involved somehow
It's gotta be true, I saw it on youtube...
I heard NBADan raped and murdered a sea manatee last Tuesday.
We should pass out pamphlets at NBADan's site of employment to ensure the safety of future sea manatees within a 200 mi. radius.
It's funny when right wingers spoof the spoof. I always like when parody threads are made to mock them, and they get all pissed about the inherit logic- even though said logic (or non-logic) exists primarily as their own twisted creation. ing clowns.
And let's not forget the other member of the Kennedy Clan that beat like a 15 year old to death with a golf club, because he thought she was giving that pussy to his brother and wasn't passing any his way. Seems that Kennedy Clan has been killing for a long time.
Nah, I just think it is lame NBADan hides behind his screen name while using Beck's name in relation to raping and murdering a child.
Who hiding? Beckkk's is a traitor and your an idiot...Politically,... he's marginalized to the lunatic fringe...but his on-air paranoia is gonna get people killed...then you'll be defending a real murderer...
The Decline of Glenn Beck
What caused it?

http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/...ine-glenn-beckSix months ago, Glenn Beck held his “Restoring Honor” rally on the National Mall, drawing a crowd of about 100,000. Newspapers and magazines featured the rally on front pages around the country. The next month, The New York Times Magazine devoted a cover story to him. “In record time,” the piece observed, “Beck has traveled the loop of curiosity to ratings bonanza to self-parody to sage.”
Just six months later, however, Beck seems to have traveled somewhere else entirely. His ratings and reputation are in steep decline: His show has lost more than one million viewers over the course of the past year, falling from an average of 2.9 million in January 2010 to 1.8 million in January 2011. He now ranks fifth among Fox’s six weekday talk hosts, trailing lesser-known personalities like Shepard Smith and Bret Baier. Beck’s three-hour radio show has been dropped in several major cities, including New York and Philadelphia, and has seen a ratings decline in most other markets. “It’s hard to gain a million viewers,” says Eric Boehlert, who follows Beck’s shows for the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters, “but it’s really hard to lose a million viewers.” And Beck’s fall contrasts with the fortunes of other Fox News hosts, like Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, whose TV ratings stayed solid throughout 2010.
Beck’s commercial viability also seems to have suffered. His viewership among 25- to 54-year-olds, a prized advertising demographic, declined by almost one-half in 2010. An advertising boycott organized by liberal groups has caused over 300 companies—including Procter & Gamble, UPS, Coca-Cola, and Wal-Mart—to stop showing commercials during Beck’s show. The Beck brand isn’t what it used to be off the airwaves either: His most recent non-fiction book, Broke: The Plan to Restore Our Trust, Truth and Treasure, was his first book in eight years not to reach number one on The New York Times best-seller list.
I remember listening to Beck on AM radio before he went nuts. He was actually thoughtful and held both sides accountable in arguments and kept a common sense approach.
Then I stopped listening due to a job change. Talked to an old friend later on down the line and he stopped listening to Beck because he was becoming a lunatic monster on the radio. This was right before he was given his contract for FOX TV and went total nutjob.
WTF happened to this guy.
Pretty sure there's one or two trolls and about 50 monikers. They all sound too much alike to be individuals.
