nice Slokar interview
You guys should know that Mel_13 has said now several times in the forum that none of these games count. According to him ALL EuroBasket games are unofficial "exhibition games" and they are not even a real game. They are just an exhibition game and no one even takes them seriously and they are not even actually a real game.
He swears this is a fact. These EuroBasket games are NOT official compe ions. They are just "exhibition games".

The game against Spain was Slovenia's 250th game.Good News, Bad News: Day Three
10 September 2009
By Yarone Arbel
Back-court come back
Spain held a safe 13 point lead, 64-51, with 8:21 to play only to see the two guards of Slovenia - Jaka Lakovic and Goran Dragic take over the game and manage a personal comeback. Lakovic hit a three ball, Dragic wrote back-to-back steals with lay ups before Jaka nailed another three. Dragic put on the final touch with a defensive rebound and a couple of hits from the line, to complete a 12-0 run and close the gap, before "the shot".
The shot
In case you missed Erazem Lorbek's tying buzzer-beater shot that sent the game between his Slovenia and Spain to overtime, make sure to visit the video section of Eurobasket2009.org and catch that arc which will be in any EuroBasket 2009 highlight clip.

That is so awesome! hvala for sharing!![]()
It's in Turkey? I so want to go!
I hope I come into a lot of extra money this year!![]()
And they don't even have any penetrators in the team really except for Llull and he plays small minutes.
Holy ing !
I thought officiating was good actually... but we were hammered pretty much the whole time so I am maybe not the best judge of that
35,7 is sick... especially if you look this is the same number as Slovenia and Serbia combine together! And both teams played better than Spain if you ask me...
Well start looking for cheapest airplane ticketsPrices will probably be very cheap (in comparison with Europe or USA).
I wish it works out for you!
Hahaha Spain.
hvala lepa!
Half of those FTs were probably awarded to Navarro. He's been doing this for the last 5 or 6 championships, as long as I can remember. Nothing new, really.
Some highlights from the first three games:
vs. GB
vs. Serbia
vs. Spain
Too bad they are only on the offensive side. There were some nice defensive plays too (blocks & steals).
WIN OR LOSE?
if we win we are half way to the medal if we lost we could be in problems
i have to attend a weeding of a friend so I will have to use my mobile to get some info
I got a feeling that we'll win this one. I just hope Lithuania will not get help from the refs.
I'm trying to remember - did we ever win against Lithuania?
Apparently yes, 14 years ago.![]()
Turkey beat Spain 63-60.
The Turks look scary good this summer. They have a lot of big mobile bodies. Hedo & Ilyasova are a matchup nightmare.
Lithuania Search For Form Continues Against Slovenia
11 September 2009
By Simon Wilkinson
Lithuania have their work cut out as they look to overcome an 0-2 hole in Group F of the Qualifying Round.
On Saturday, Ramunas Butautas' side go up against in-form Slovenia, who came very close to finishing with a perfect 3-0 mark in Group C, also known as the ‘Group of Death'.
An overtime defeat against world champions Spain put an end to the winning streak, but Jure Zdvoc's side still took top honours in Warsaw.

Serbia leads against Poland 43-36 at half.
If Poland doesn't win against Serbia tonight, they will have to beat Slovenia if they want to get into quarter finals.![]()
Turkey beating Spain was great for us... Turks will probably be much less motivated to win the last game against us than we will be. Especially if they also win the next one...
Not to mention Spain loosing is great news for us.
Serbia wins 77-72. We don't seem to catch a break. Oh well, we need to beat Lithuania first anyhow.
Yes, the problem is that, judging by the refereing, Spain is a "lock" for quarter finals.
