GOOD
all full of bull , as usual
so they are saying no and thats it?
Another day of good news. Nice to see people fighting back on all fronts. Gives one hope.
I think Perry mentioned this a month or so back as well.
Federal law > State law. Period.
Federal law only is greater than state law..if it is cons utional.
"All powers not specifically granted to the Federal Govt by the Cons ution, are the States and Individuals."
You simply cannot find Govt mandating health insurance for everyone in the country in the Cons ution...it is simply not there.
Letsee if they can cir vent that "outdated and old" piece of parchment. Wouldn't be the first time.
"Hey, they need to ensure my 'WELFARE.'"
Which, according to our founders, was never meant to be an all ecompassing phrase to cover whatever anyone wants as "ensuring their welfare."
But, what do our founders know anyway.
and so it goes...
Except it's not meant to be, but no one ever challenges it anymore.
assisted suicide
medical marijuana
gay marriage
none of these are spelled out in the cons ution. now what?
That's because we lost states rights during the Civil War.
We lost states right when we ratified the 17th amendment.
I see that as just the nail in the coffin.
And, I would argue that being "the nail in the coffin," is a common euphemism for when something is lost. Up until passage of the 17th amendment, states still had a proxy in Washington who could be relied upon to invoke 10th amendment privilege.
Just saying...
