If Mel pulls this off, it will be (IIRC), two years of heartbreaking defeats for ATRAIN. I think he had me beat in the Semis last year, until Zambrano no-hit the Astros in the last game of the week, giving me just enough to win WHIP and send ATRAIN to the consolation bracket.
And just enough for me to proceed to a Final in which Melmart absolutely kicked my ass.
I am trying really hard not to keep looking at the stats. Whether or not the Rangers get their double dip in today is going to really impact my final stats, and every category but one is super close. Because of the rain delays, we may not know the result of this till very late, which is odd for a Sunday.

Well, I had him reeling until Sunday, when my team tends to somehow fall apart. I gave it my all but with my three best (Lince , Peavy and Wolff) being injured, all of whom should have gone twice this week ... well, it just wasn't meant to be. Congrats to ATrain for advancing ... and GO RANGERS FANS!!!

WOW well I thought for sure Mel was going to beat me. She had me at 10-0 at the end of sat. I didnt even look at my team till sunday night. Mel you had me ting bricks and I was very lucky to escape that. Good luck to Whott, Alamo, and Slayer. Should be interesting.

Like me barely holding on to my last playoff spot and going through and winning it all? Its a feel good story and I like it hahaha.
No matter what happens, this league has been great.
I started the season knowing absolutely nothing about the MLB of current day and I ended it with knowing about 80% of the active players. Got the fun back!
Now let's see if we can expand that 5 game winning streak of mine........

Bashers was only 1 of 2 teams (A Fraud's being the other one) to beat me the 2 times we faced during the regular season.
It was simply heat vs. freezing cold this week and I came out on top being the lucky one.

Losing both my short stops this week won't help my bid though.....
