There are very good liberal shows that would do just as well as any wing-nut show, especially PAGS or Dennis MIller...Stephanie Miller for instance....but Clear Channel won't air them because it has no interest in being either fair nor balanced...
No . I don't think about you dorks enough to make mental images, but whatever gets you through the night....
Do the losers on the left really think "teabaggers" is a derogatory term? Considering the terminology originated from an American Revolution event?
I guess it is funny to 12 year old male adolescents.
That's bull. If the audience was there they'd air those shows in a heartbeat.
Agreed. Let's just face it, the left/liberal mindset isn't really interested in a program where they get to sit there and listen. It seems like lefties get into alot more disagreements within themselves. That's why I think lefties are capturing the blogosphere much more than the right; it's all about arguing.![]()
The audience isn't there because AM radio as a medium only has the middle aged - senior citizen demographics going for it. Not to say that there aren't some young people who listen, because there are, but as a whole, young people aren't going to listen to such an archaic thing as AM radio.
That's why stupid crap such as Air America will never be successful. The people they're shooting for don't tune in not because they aren't there, but because they're somewhere else.
At least in blogs you have a way to converse back and forwards via a comments section. It's much more engaging than listening to some stuffy dude try to crack jokes every so often, and basically get his points across without any refutal.
And to say that the callers make it possible for conversing, you're wrong. They screen those callers very well, and they only let the callers with questions they want to take the show in the direction they want. They're pretty much sitting there with their name, age, political identification, a summary of their question, and notes on the arguments against the question.
You can't blog while driving, and you're theoretically not supposed to be doing it at work. So I don't think it's entirely fair to categorize the radio as an archaic medium. Blogs have their place, radio has it's place.
They're listening to music, not stuffy 50-somethings.
CC tried a lib talk station and nobody listened so it got axed
Take out CC and put in any city in America. That is why we need the Fairness Doctrine. Us Athiest, with our less than 5% of the population, need the same amount of time as christians. WHy should christians have more time than us? Because they have a majority of the population who can relate to their message? That is BS.
Uhmm are you trying to imply that all liberals are atheists? Or the reverse? Or that atheists are crying out for the Fairness Doctrine? I really have no idea where this supposed 'burn' was trying to go.
you're being facetious right?
