Oh, the only thing lamer than these people who cooked up this scheme and also the folks who fell for the act of some wannabe White supafly is people taking this seriously.

I don't give a about ACORN, but the thought that they are running some major underage pros ution ring, oh man.

ACORN's Recent History With Pros ution

Perhaps we shouldn't have been completely surprised by the videos we've seen of ACORN workers offering assistance to pros ution rings.

    I mean, there was Cincinnati . . .

Shari Bell, 41, of Walnut Hills was arrested Wednesday night by Cincinnati police, reported WCPO, NewsChannel5's Cincinnati sister station.

Bell allegedly approached an undercover officer's car in Evanston and offered him sex for money. Police also said they found a crack pipe in Bell's coat pocket. Bell told police she works for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now at the time of her arrest.
    And then there was Cleveland:

An Ohio man who cast an illegal early ballot after being caught registering to vote several times with ACORN is a longtime scammer who was arrested last year — as a woman.

The bizarre tale of Darnell Nash — a k a Serina "Sexy Slay" Gibbs — came to light after Cuyahoga County election officials charged him with voter fraud and this week turned him in to prosecutors.

It turns out that Nash, 24, who has a criminal record as a man, is now a transsexual escort who claims to make $150 an hour turning tricks as the self-proclaimed "Queen of Cleveland Gender Benders."
    Then there's Milwaukee:

At least seven felons convicted of crimes including cocaine possession and robbery were recruited by a liberal group to register voters in Milwaukee, raising fears they may have committed voter fraud . . . Along with the seven felons, court records show one special registration deputy has a pending felony charge for heroin possession and another is facing a misdemeanor pros ution charge. A third was convicted of misdemeanor pros ution.
And I guess we shouldn't be stunned by the nonchalant reaction to underage pros ution, considering the history of New Mexico branch:

The head of a community reform organization faces sentencing after pleading no contest to two counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor in Torrance County. Ben McGartland of Albuquerque, head of the New Mexico chapter of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, was charged in July in state District Court in Estancia with 10 counts, including second-degree criminal sexual penetration of a minor, three counts of criminal sexual contact, attempt to commit a felony, kidnapping, concealing iden y, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Maybe this really is just another day at the office for the folks at ACORN . . .

Yoni, are such crimes ever committed by bankers, traders, corporate managers? How about San Antonio policemen or SA court employees?

Why do you cherry-pick Acorn's employees but not criminals from other org's?

Are such crimes committed in such volume by several individuals from various branches of the same bank, trading company, corporation, police department, our court?

Why do you cherry-pick Acorn's employees but not criminals from other org's?
Because the criminal activity appears to be so endemic...and, they have such a close relationship with our president.

    "appears to be so endemic"

    appears to you.

What about the Acorn offices that blew off the right-wing camera sting crew? do they get any credit?

What if I had 100 hidden-cam videos of Acorn staff doing what they are supposed to do? would such "endemic" behavior "appear" to you to offset the "bad apples"

and why does the "bad apple" argument appear to work for Abu Graib criminals and the military orgnaization they worked but not for Acorn?

How is this petty crime related to Obama anyway?
I think that's the part of the story coming up next...maybe not from O'Keefe and Giles but from another citizen journalist doing the job the left-stream media refuses to do.

But, apparently, the Obama campaign funneled over $800,000 to ACORN through some front company called CSI (who happened to share a Chicago office with ACORN) for election work. Not that's it's illegal -- I don't know that it is.

But, why would the Obama campaign need to "funnel" the money to ACORN if it's a legitimate organization?

I think the the main points to the upcoming story are this,

    1) The Obama campaign made federal election filings showing they paid over $800,000 to an organization called CSI, inc. for various campaign event-related activities.

    2) The citizen journalist discovered this CSI, inc. doesn't perform such services.

    3) The citizen journalist called the ED of CSI, inc., said he got his number from the DNC, and asked about having CSI, inc. perform the same services.

    4) CSI ED told the citizen journalist they don't do that, ACORN does. All they do is "get out the vote" activity.

    5) Citizen journalist called DNC and asks them. They say they just mislabeled the services.

    6) Citizen journalist discovers ACORN and CSI share the same Chicago address.

President Obama spoke directly to ACORN during the campaign and said he would be depending on their organization in the upcoming campaign. That he would be calling on them specifically. How many other organizations did he do this with? Besides, the SEIU and AFL-CIO, I mean.

President Obama worked for the organization in the 90's and, even after, separating employment; returned for years, according to ACORN, to train and speak and mentor the people Giles and O'Keefe videotaped.

Here's what I think. The citizen journalists, like O'Keefe and Giles are going to totally destroy ACORN and expose them as the criminal enterprise they obviously are and then, another citizen journalist is going to make the indisputable connection between our president and the organization.

After the 4th ACORN office (San Bernardino), the NYPost asked Hannah Giles how many more videos there were. Her answer, "Plenty..."

Like it or not, left-stream media or not, the citizen-journalists are going to pursue this story relentlessly. That's what I think. Carry on...

I don't know, ACORN has had to remove two of the offices from their list of those that allegedly blew off the camera sting after O'Keefe and Giles immediately released videos involving those offices.

I wouldn't trust those that remain on their list will last...

There was a bit of a buzz about how ACORN was having to edit the list but, hey, I can't post everything.

What if I had 100 hidden-cam videos of Acorn staff doing what they are supposed to do? would such "endemic" behavior "appear" to you to offset the "bad apples"

Again, I think we're talking scope and prevelance. But, go ahead, do your own "hidden camera" operation on ACORN.

I haven't really followed this thread, but to get 100% of the six offices he did this to...

Please, with those numbers, someone tell me APORN isn't corrupt.

You won't hear about this on FAUX News....2008 GOP Presidential candidate, John McCain was for ACORN before he was against it...

Golly, for a group that's committed so much "voter fraud" for so long (if you're gullible enough to believe the lies that RNC/FNC has been telling you) it's mighty strange that, as News One notes, "McCain attended an ACORN convention just two years ago."

The once-honorable Republican's campaign has even seen fit to produce a video smear ad, attempting to tar Obama with "associations" with ACORN, and alleging the group has committed "massive voter fraud" to boot! (They've yet to produce any actual evidence for that, unfortunately.)

But more than just attending the ACORN-sponsored February 2006 rally, ACORN confirms in a statement today that McCain was actually the keynote speaker!

So now, they wonder, why it is that McCain seems to have "lost that loving feeling"?

"It has deeply saddened us to see Senator McCain abandon his historic support for ACORN and our efforts to support the goals of low-income Americans. Maybe it is out of desperation that Senator McCain has forgotten that he was for ACORN before he was against ACORN," noted Bertha Lewis, Chief Organizer of ACORN.

"We expected Senator McCain to support our efforts to give voice to millions of Americans who have never participated in an election before," she continued. "We are surprised at his efforts to vilify an organization that, until recently, he saw as an ally."

Dude. I don't give a about the connection to Obama when it comes to ACORN. Sure it adds a tiny bit to that sleeze balls resume of ing our country over. Sure he was a lawyer who represented this corrupt company. Seriously, unless some real hardcore evidence comes out that connets Obama to ACORN he gets a pass on this one. I'm glad ACORN is going down. I will say the 7 that voted to keep giving them money probably has a few bones in ACORNs closet they don't want out.

Whoops: Anti-ACORN Bill Ropes In Defense Contractors, Others Charged With Fraud
Going after ACORN may be like shooting fish in a barrel lately -- but jumpy lawmakers used a bazooka to do it last week and may have blown up some of their longtime allies in the process.

The congressional legislation intended to defund ACORN, passed with broad bipartisan support, is written so broadly that it applies to "any organization" that has been charged with breaking federal or state election laws, lobbying disclosure laws, campaign finance laws or filing fraudulent paperwork with any federal or state agency. It also applies to any of the employees, contractors or other folks affiliated with a group charged with any of those things.

In other words, the bill could plausibly defund the entire military-industrial complex. Whoops.

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) picked up on the legislative overreach and asked the Project on Government Oversight (POGO) to sift through its database to find which contractors might be caught in the ACORN net.

Lockheed Martin and Northrop Gumman both popped up quickly, with 20 fraud cases between them, and the longer list is a Who's Who of weapons manufacturers and defense contractors.

The language was written by the GOP and filed as a "motion to recommit" in the House, where it passed 345-75.

POGO is reaching out to its members to identify other companies who have engaged in the type of misconduct that would make them ineligible for federal funds.

Grayson then intends to file that list in the legislative history that goes along with the bill so that judges can reference it when determining whether a company should be denied federal funds.

The Florida freshman is asking for direct assistance. He has set up a Google spreadsheet where people can suggest contractors who have been charged with violations and include a link to a media or government report do enting the alleged transgression.

The weapons manufacturers might have a better line of defense in court, however. Immediately after the bill passed, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), a cons utional whiz, noted that the measure appeared to be a "bill of attainder" -- specifically targeting a company or organization or individual -- and is therefore specifically barred by the Cons ution.

If it's not targeted at one group, then Northrop Grumman is in trouble.

Reps. John Conyers (D-Mich.) and Barney Frank (D-Mass.) sent a letter to the Congressional Research Service on Tuesday asking it to clarify, among other things, if the Defund ACORN Act is cons utional.

I assume the Dems will continue to shoot themselves in the foot and not have the balls to re-instate funding for their very important electoral partner ACORN.

Breitbart refuses to release all the video tapes of O'Keefe's entrapment of ACORN. I assume that's because he knows his entire anti-ACORN attack would be proven to be bull .

blah blah blah. I'm just so ing over it. All the ACORN offices need to separate themselves from each other (as they are now), fight for their own funding and just die a slow meaningless death.

I don't even care about the tapes anymore.

In a press release announcing his 28-page report [PDF] (and accompanying 55 pages of attachments and exhibits [PDF] with it), the AG's office says the publicly released videos taken in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Bernardino were "severely edited."
In exchange for "immunity from prosecution," O'Keefe and Giles provided "the full, unedited videotapes" to Brown's office who, therefore, "did not determine if they violated California's Invasion of Privacy Act" when secretly recording the ACORN workers.
