er wtf. the refs gave slovenia 123123 free throws in OT to keep the game close
I doubt it. Greeks will be more rested and they are deeper. This was an exhausting game physically and emotionally, I don't know how much our guys can have left after this one.
Ye but again its one of those losses where u go what could have been...We had this game won several times over, and chocked it away good.
Jaka not making that daft foul, Jaka hitting that ( contested) layup attempt, Jaka making both free throws, Brezec not making that intentional foul ( i hate the refs for making this kind of bull calls, makes me dislike euro ball) and the game would have been ours.
Refs were OK. We ed up, when we had a 6 point lead with like 1,5 minute to go.
Lets hope Greece will play bad.
The refs were horrible. They were missing calls on both sides. I do feel they made a few really bad calls against us at crucial times, but maybe it was just bad luck with three blind refs...
The Serbs definitely closed the gap and got their first lead with the help of some questionable calls.
I don't mind so much we lost, I'm pissed off how we lost.
Yeah bad calls on both sides, but Serbian timeing was better.

Jaka is done. But I will eat my crow. Jaka played tournament of his life.
He played poorly tonight, but I have nothing bad to say about him. Tonight is Zdovc who ed up. He should rest him more during the game.
I just don't know who will play tomorrow.

I much prefer the players fighting it out, than horrible games where a rythm never develops because somebody has the urge to use his whistle every 3 seconds.
We the fans and them the players have been robbed of something that could have been a really good game.

Refs are the same in each FIBA event, its allways a type of a suprise party with them.
You have no idea how tough their criterium is gonna be on a given night, they seem to think they are equal participants of the basketball game (and therefore steal the spotlight at least a few times with their moronic calls, which they "make right" on the following play with another absurd call), there allways seems to be a seminar or conference before every major compe ion, in which they decide they are going to be stricter/ tougher on something then they used to be, and they call at least a few techicals in each game which actually matters ( not one in those where the W is more or less immaterial).
In short they are morons.

Zdovc should use Udrih and Klobucar for that short stints and rest him. At the end we lost the game because Jaka missed some free throws, last drive was completely without energy, he simply collapsed. And I'm not surprised. An empty bag doesn't stand straight. But I don't blame Jure, he went all in. If he succeeded he would be god. All in all...GREAT GAME and GREAT FUN.

I don't think so. I think it was against Turkey when Jaka went out for few moments and our offense completely collapsed. Defensivelly maybe we'd be fine, but offensively I doubt it.

Thats how i see it as well. The problem is players in Euroball get get a lot more physical with each other then in the States. So if fouls are not called, we gonna be watching handball with a really small goal. I think we better adopt the handchecking rules from the NBA and do it soon, becasue basketball the way that it's played right now, wouldnt be a whole lot of fun to watch even if the refs would swallow their whistles.

In any case, it's funny that you guys are trying to put it all on him now. Lorbek made two idiotic fouls and got himself out of the game. Nachbar started missing free throws too. Golemac... Well he's Golemac.

I made a trip specifically to check on the team.
Regardless of this last outcome, I am really proud of all this team has accomplished.
Hopefully we will get a medal after all.
