this guy knows business but he is filthy rich and is a Mormon. seriosly he couldnt beat mccain when investing about 20 million into his campaign from his own pocket
This is the brick wall the GOP is gonna run up against in 2012....Forge Mitt - they'll get to choose between wack-jobs like Sarah Palin or Mic e Backmann....
LinkWant to see an hilarious news release announcing this ad hoc group that thinks Family Research Council's Tony Perkins isn't telling truth? Well, we all know if the "pro-family" leader's lips are moving that lies are spilling out, but "Conservatives For Truth" thinks the head of the this weekend's Values Voter Summit, which invited and landed failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney to the shindig, is committing a grievous error. The "pro- sexual" Mittster's bowing and scraping before the fundies clearly hasn't convinced true believers he's worthy of the seal of approval.:
This weekend, leading Christian pro-family advocacy organization Family Research Council (FRC) will feature former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as one of its featured speakers at its "Value Voters Summit." Despite Romney's unbiblical and far left-wing record as Massachusetts governor on the issues FRC claims to care the most about, FRC President Tony Perkins continues to refer to Romney as a "friend of the pro-family movement."
That's why we have authored the website www.tonyperkinstellthetruth.blogspot.com, because we believe someone claiming to stand for biblical teaching, as Mr. Perkins claims to, should have the integrity to tell the truth about the candidates he's providing a platform to reach Christian voters.

If the economy is still ed up in 2012, Mitt Romney would be the GOP's best chance of taking down Obama.
The evangelicals would never accept that, Jacob.
They're gonna have to if they want to have any chance of getting back the White House. Jack Bauer could convince them.![]()
mitt romney obviously going to run against obama in 2012.
I said it before I will say it again, if the GOP somehow successfully persuades the nation into voting a ing mormon into office then like mookie said in april of 2003, "i will chop my off."
son don't be too surprised ... we just voted a ing Muslim in.
It's funny when a 9/11 twoofer like Nbadan calls people wack-jobs.
I don't know if I'd go so far as to call Palin a wack-job, which may underestimate her a bit, but Bachmann is certifiably bat crazy.
Mitt would probably do fairly well in the general election. Unfortunately for the GOP, their base will never let him get that far.
What is the deal with Mormons? I never cared enough to understand it? He is not into polygamy? Mormons are pussies compared to the Mormons of the 1800s. What is the big deal? (srs)
Damn I still feel GREAT knowing I did not vote for McCain.
Mormons are to Christians what Christians are to Jews: a group that believes in extra books in their Holy Book. Fundamentalist Christians, the kind that make up the GOP base, see this as an abomination. There's no finessing or glossing over it. They'll work together and agree on social issues, but that's it.
Democrats disagree over fundamental party issues: Taxcuts- versus -increased govt. spending, intervention versus isolation, social spending versus not, but they still vote democrat...but fundamental elements of the GOP have made issues like abortion, gays, and religion no-vote issues....the party has become so fractured between those that support candidates supported by wing-nut radio, Lush Limbaugh, Innsanity, Glenn Beckkk, with candidates like Sarah Palin, Mic e Bachmann, et. el and those that support candidates like Mitt Romney....there is little middle ground...
...the GOP is on the brink of either a fundamental shift to the right or it will collapse...
Repugs are captured by the anti-rational "Christian" supremacist fake theocrats and southern racist crackas.
The thing is, with Romney, it's not the issues. He supports their social agenda. They just find the fact that he believes in more books than they do repellant, in spite of their almost complete alignment on the issues. It's a good thing for the GOP that their Jewish block aren't so closed on people that believe in more books than they do.
'abortion, gays, and religion no-vote issues'-That is majority of America.
Conservatives supported Romney. The only groups to make a deal about his being a mormon were the MSM.
I don't think Mitt Romney is one of the hardcore Mormons. Isn't he more of a laid back mordern Mormon? If he believes in Kolob, then you might want to worry. Romney is the GOP's best chance in 2012. Republicans and conservatives need to wake the up and realize that.
Yeah sure...that's why he sailed through the 08 nomination, right?
god, gays, guns, abortion was not enough for the Repugs to win in 2000, they lost by 600K. majority?![]()
If you mean by support actual votes, then no. He pretty much got curb stomped in the primaries. Poll responses mean to someone who's running for Prez. If you're not pulling the lever, you're not supporting.
You voted, I didn't cast towards his ballots.
The laws should permit gays and lesbos marriages IMHO, anyway we don't need to worry too much about the missing population. Immigrants will fill up the vacant part.
Man, if I were running for President I would just run on Small Government.
All you have to say to the gop is "Look assholes...gay-rights, abortion, and all of your other meaningless social outcries mean nothing to the prosperity of this country. We have p.o.s. progressives in this country. We've got to give them something. As long as we make sure the individual can ac ulate wealth based on the work he does, you can move away from them and live happily ever after."
"You nominated McCain in 08' FFS! You people should not be able to vote in this go around. Sit this one out."
You'd get my vote, but between the lefties who want government in control of your wallet and righties who want government in control of what happens in your bedroom I doubt there's enough people out there who would truly support a fiscal conservative/social moderate.
Mitt didn't lose because of the base. He lost because of open elections. Do away with open elections, and a conservative can get the nomination again.
He won about 30 states to Gore's 20. In the USA, it is usually how many states you win that matters.
