Wade is past his expiration date, but IMO Romo doesn't show the kind of leadership (or heady play) expected from an elite NFL quarterback. He gets down too easily, if you looked at his demeanor on the sidelines last night he looked like a kid who just had his puppy stolen.
Did you see him when he was out on the sidelines trying to encourage the defense? He wasn't there sulking until he was certain that the Cowboys had lost. Why? He knew it was partly his fault. He took the blame for that loss. We don't really know what his leadership skills are like, although those who know the situation say he's a vocal leader more this year. This is just one bad game this year. I agree that he needs to cut some of the turnovers, but I like the way Romo plays.

You can't win with 4 turnovers. With that said the defense looked awful. Slightly better against the run but downright awful everywhere else. Its certainly not man coverage. Its not zone either. Its as if they're playing manzone where a corner lines up and just tries to hang around 7 or 8 yards of the receiver without getting too close...wait for the catch and then make the tackle. You can't win playing defense that way.

Its obvious what a good defense can do for your team. They could have overcome 4 turnovers had they had better coverage and tackling.

I've never seen anything like that INT off of Wittens foot. Holy that was weird.
Can't turn the ball over against a disciplined team like the Giants, that being said the Cowboys really dominated at times, particularly with their O-Line and the run game. I got just what I needed in FF from Barber so I was happy.

    but........lol Cowboys

I do blame this game on Tony Romo, he had 3 picks that had no chance for his Wide receivers to get it.

Oh yea, we got our asses kicked, but McNabb or Garcia starts next week, no worries.

Eagles' Kolb to take first-team snaps

PHILADELPHIA -- Donovan McNabb told ESPN on Monday that he is still in pain and was not sure whether he will be back for the Eagles game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

"There is still pain," said McNabb told Paolantonio in a brief interview as he arrived for treatment Monday at the team's practice facility in South Philadelphia.

"With these rib injuries, I don't know. It's Monday. We'll see how it goes."

Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Monday that backup quarterback Kevin Kolb will take all the first-team quarterback snaps in practice on Wednesday. Kolb, who had 391 yards passing with two touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss to the Saints, will start if McNabb cannot play.

I don't think Romo is the problem as some people think. He is just an easy scapegoat because of some of the misfortunes in his time here, such as the dropped snap, or the loss to the Giants in the playoffs (in which Crayton screwed that game up a LOT more than Romo did).

I felt that in last nights game, the only INT that was really his fault was the third one. The first one was clearly a pass to an initially wide open Crayton, not a bad pass to Roy as some people thought, because Roy seemed so wide open. Roy's defender slipped when Roy had made his cut, which had him also luckily in position to make the interception. The second one was a bad pass, but it was fluke that it bounced off of Witten's shoe right to the defender.

I still think poor playcalling and poor defense are the Cowboy's biggest weaknesses.
Good points but I disagree about the interceptions. All three were his fault - the 1st one was both a bad throw and bad decision, second one just a horrible throw, and third both again. All QBs are going to miss throws at times but the SB winning QBs miss away from the defender and rarely make horrible decisions on throws. Manning missed and made bad throws last night but he missed low and away which doesn't usually result in interceptions. Romo missed high and late which is asking for interceptions.

Garrett f'd up the dominating flow of the running game and Wade's defense is still soft in coverage and not getting pressure. Those are bigger problems than Romo, and the biggest is having Wade as coach. I think Cowher could at least get to an NFC le game with this talent if given the reins over coaching and a nod in drafting/personnel decisions

In defense of the playcalling at least they're utilizing the run in an effective manor. This in of itself should save their season if the defense can keep them from falling behind in the score by the end of the first. I dread seeing them fall behind because the ginger gets carried away and abandons the run.

Their defense is in need of serious help. Barely a playoff caliber defense.

I disagree completely. If anyone goes back and watches, they can clearly see that it was for Crayton who would have been wide open, had the CB on Roy not slipped and luckily been in position for the pick. That was just a matter of being fortunate that his screw-up resulted in him being in the right place at the right time.

Right now it's nowhere near playoff caliber. A big part of the problem is the drafting that has gone on - Wade and Jerry are horrible in drafting talent, especially in the 1st round. Jenkins and Spencer being consecutive season 1st rounders is killing them. They have no depth and are weak at corner, defensive end, and LB opposite Ware

Man, I thought the secondary would be a strength this year, adding Sensabough and the progression of the young guys, but they looked horrible last night. I will say that there is only so much they can do without the Boys getting any pressure on Manning. Who would have thought the Boys entire pass rush hinged on Greg Ellis.

If that was the case then it's a route running/play execution issue because two receivers should never be in the same proximity where that could happen. Also, if the throw had gotten to crayton it would have been behind him at least a bit which is a bad throw because you have to throw that ball outside away from the defender. Still a bad throw IMO

Not sure how an INT that bounced off Witten's foot right into a defender's hands is really Romo's fault. Maybe the pass was off, but that pick was pure fluke.

Their offense is still way better now that the black cloud known as TO is gone.

    Marion Barber hurt

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

"The Dallas Cowboys said Monday that running back Marion Barber(notes) has a quadriceps injury and his return isn’t yet known. Coach Wade Phillips said Barber had an MRI on Monday, a day after he was hurt on a 35-yard run in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ 33-31 loss to the Giants"

, to lose playoff games mean they made the playoffs...which is more than last season.

    Wow, Romo pisses me off.
I'd like to trade him in, please.

I can't decided who infuriates me more: Romo or Weis (Notre Dame). They both suck.
