I would swap Smith for Bruce. I am suspect of the Skins D but they are worth taking a chance on. Is there anyone else on your roster you would consider cutting? I would hang onto to ATLs D in case the Skins D lets you down.
Ok I am a rook at fantasy football. Well truthfully I am not big on football but I have been trying harder to get into it and my fantasy league has been helping with that. I think I watched more football these past couple of weeks than I have my whole life.
Here is my question(s)
I have Isaac Bruce but have the chance to snag Steve Smith and I have the ATL defense but have a shot at Wash def who is playing Det next week. My other D is Pitt and my other WR's are Donald Driver, TJ Housyamomma, Nate Washington, and Devin Hester.
Should I drop Bruce and the ATL for Smith and Wash?
I figured we could use this thread for other questions for all the football gurus

Right now this is my team
QB Tom Brady
WR Devin Hester
WR Nate Washington
RB Ryan Grant
RB Tim Hightower
TE Benjamin Watson
W/T Tony Gonzalez
W/R Joseph Addai
BN Isaac Bruce
BN Jason Witten
BN Donald Driver
BN T.J. Houshmandzadeh
BN Brett Favre
K Neil Rackers
DEF Atlanta
BN Pittsburgh
I would drop Bruce and take a chance on Smith. The 49ers run the O through Gore. The Giants have struggled with the run game as of late and they will be even more pass oriented if/when Jacobs wears down. Amad Bradshaw won't fill the void left by Ward. I wouldn't have 3 defenses on your roster. Keep Pitts obviously. The Skins did face the Rams but they are a DEF worth taking a chance on. They (Falcons or Skins) are your backup D anyways so you would only use them when Pitts has a bye week.
So you think the rest of the team is solid with the exception of Bruce for Smith?
Yes I do.
I would get rid of Bruce first then consider Washington second. Both the 49ers and ans are running teams with the occasional pass. Plus they ( ans) have Gage which takes away passes thrown to Washington.
Drop Atlanta D, Witten should be a starter, cut Bruce for any better WR. I would start Driver and TJ over Hester and Washington. You should also cut Farve and sign a more productive QB since AP is gonna do all the damage for Minn.

QB Shaub, Campbell or Pennington which would pick over Favre

Hester isn't a #1 receiver. You should be able to pick up someone better than Bruce off waivers, and if you need a defense I would go with Denver. Denver's new 3-4 looks pretty good, plus they have 4 games vs the Chiefs and Raiders who are both awful
Yeah neither Denver nor ATL has played a good offense at all this year, but based on how they played against GB, holding Cinci to 7 points is noteworthy. No risk, high reward with Denver.
