I don't think it's a fake. If it is, it was very well thought out. If you watch the video from down on the field, the ball arcs considerably. I think that's the effect you'd see from a camera's convex lens.

Also, one of the guys celebrating after the shot is B.J. Holmes, a shooting guard on our team.

If it was an obvious fake, the ball would have left the field of view. if I know, with the tools people have today they could edit the ball in. I'd like to see one video of a failed attempt by them just to prove he could throw the ball that far.
