Anyway, why do you hate Stu Scott? He's the one guy on this planet who makes overusing stupid sayings sound cool.....for example, "Don't bring that kool-aid to a grown man's party."
That is why I am not going to say Romo won't ever get it. I will wait to see if he gets a real coach that will chew his ass out for any dumb mistake he makes. Wade just isn't the guy. Unless the Boys win it all, I see Jerry replacing Wade and JG(unless his playcalling all of a sudden is consistently good and balanced) in the offseason.

Damn good post the Cowboys got rid of the wrong guy in TO too. Just look at how this team has no one that scares you know you can play man on man and stack the box.
TO wasn't a huge influence in "scaring" anyone least year.
Who on the Steelers last year "scared" you?
HInes Ward, does he "scare" you? Not necessarily.
I think the day sof needing a Super star WR are over.
Its back to the old days of ball control, run and smashmouth the football, and having a kick ass defense.
Thats how Pittsburgh won last year and when teams step out of their element thats when they fail IE New England two years ago.
What does the Steelers have to do with the fact that Owens drew 2 guys and was the Cowboys big threat. Have you watched The Cowboys this year? The beat up on a crappy Tampa team and have looked awful vs Carolina and the Giants. Yes they are running the ball well do you think that would go away with a game breaking wide out?
That's the biggest myth about TO. He almost never drew a double team last season. Most of the time he got single coverage and still got taken out of the play because they'd press him at the line. TO was awful most of last season and he's gotten even worse this season, I don't see how he'd be helping the Cowboys one bit.
The only thing I'll say, and I'm not really defending Wade because I really want the Cowboys to hire Bill Cowher, is that the Cowboys were undisciplined under Parcells too. Costly penalties, stupid penalties, poor tackling, was the same under Parcells.
They had a lot less talent and younger inexperienced starters under Parcells too. If Jerry never gets TO and Bill stays an extra season or two he would have had a chance to coach up Romo and the other young players like Ware, James, Canty, etc. They might have become more disciplined.
People discrediting the play TO brought to the Cowboys are hilarious.
The Cowboys passing game looks like . Most teams aren't going to let Witten run 8 yards turn around and stand there until Romo decides to throw it.
T.O.'s play in Buffalo is pretty telling about how much he'd be helping Dallas. Unless the offense features him and the QB gets him his touches early and often, he stops running his routes, gets pissed off, makes mental errors (dropped balls). If you want to be a run first, ball control offense, good luck doing that with T.O.
I never discredit the play TO brought. I'm probably the only Cowboys fan who thought that releasing TO wasn't a good idea. I think too many fans have used TO as the scapegoat. I, for one, would rather have TO on the team one more year and see what happens. Give Romo/Roy Williams/TO the chance to have one full season to work with. If it doesn't work then, and TO is still a problem, and it doesn't equal success then you can think about getting rid of him.
They pressed him at the line and put a safety over the top. He still grabbed a ton of TD's on that you must have not been paying attention.
Not telling at all they have a lame check down QB that just checks down to a back. Buffalo has a crappy O line Edwards doesn't have time to get the ball out. Look at Evans his numbers are really low too. You TO Cowboy supporters are just blind to this crap. Is Romo a pro bowl QB too? Could the fact that TO was running open half the time maybe had something to do with making Tony look better then he is?
Romo is a pro-bowl QB because he idolized Brett Favre growing up. Having arguably a 10 top WR of all-time to throw to and one of the best TEs in years has nothing to do with it.
How did the Boys look last year when Brad Johnson was playing? Romo haters can hate, and I myself have many problems with Tony, but don't try and imply that Romo doesn't have talent. He just needs a good coach to harness it.
The Good
* Eventhough he wasn't spectacular, Tony Romo did a good job of not forcing anything and taking what the defense gave him. After such a horrendous decision making game last week, it was nice to see he can reign himself in and almost be Dilfer-esque in game management. I will take no TD's and a win over 3 INT's and a loss anytime.
* It is a shame that Felix Jones has become Mr. Glass from 'Unbreakable' because, when he touches the ball, he is the most explosive man on the field. Once he gets by the first layer of defense, the jets kick in and he is guaranteed 30+ yards on his speed alone. His 10 YPC average is mind blowing...just gotta find a way to keep him in the game.
* I know I throw around alot of "Statue of Witten" schtick when it comes to him always doing a "catch, fart and fall" but he is still Tony's most reliable target. Where would we be without Jason finding those open spots in the zone and keeping defenses honest? His run blocking last night was pretty good also.
* After a shaky start on pass protection, I think the O-line deserves some credit for giving Romo time in the pocket to make some critical 2nd half throws, as well as helping pave the way for a 2nd Straight 200+ yard running game. If only they could stop shooting themselves in the foot penalty wise (I'm looking at you #76).
* For the 2nd consecutive game, the run defense was outstanding against a great running team. Outside of a few runs by Deangelo Williams, the front 7 stuffed him and Stewart for most of the game. If you can stop the run, you give yourself a chance to win.
* Terrence Newman and Mike (Cowboy Chicken) Jenkins had problems tackling through alot of the night, especially against Steve Smith. That said, their 2 picks, especially Newman's, were both crucial and clutch. It was nice to see the secondary do something positive for a change.
* Victor Butler is showing some great speed on the outside, he should be starting ahead of Spencer.
* Outside of Nick Folk's 1st quarter shank, the special teams were solid. The punt and kickoff coverages did a great job holding the Panthers in check. Buehler is continuing to be the best pick from this years draft because he is actually playing and contributing.
* Tashard Choice was a yardage eating machine tonight. With Barber and Felix nursing injuries, he really stepped up and moved the chains for us. He is making a strong case to be the starter, with Felix the 3rd down back. Barber should be shopped around.
The Bad
* I have got to start with one of the most glaring problems from last night...the play calling. Jason Garrett is almost single handedly killing drives with his ridiculous decisions. The 2 fade routes at the goal line were inexcusable, especially when we were averaging 6.6 yards a carry against the Panthers horrendous defense. I don't understand his fascination for empty backfield sets and give up draw plays. He should have taken the head coaching job when he had the chance for our sakes.
* Penalties...penalties...penalties....9 for 80 is just too many for a team that was supposed to make an emphasis to correct this after the debacle last year. Maybe those fines need to be a little higher for these, they certainly aren't hurting Flozell's pockets at the moment. 25 grand for each flag should get the point across.
* Eventhough Newman and Jenkins had some nice and timely picks, their tackling was terrible last night. He wasn't the only one though, Barbie Carpenter is a whiff machine and doesn't belong anywhere near the field on 3rd down. We gave Keith Brooking alot of money to come here, let's have him there for all 3 downs.
* What was the deal with Barber not even being at the stadium last night? Was he upset about being held out for his own health? If this is the case, that is a very bad sign for a guy that we spent the farm on. With the depth this team has in the backfield (when Felix is healthy), we should really be shopping him around for a decent draft pick. Choice does just about everything Barber does for a cheaper price.
* For as much as I liked the front 7's commitment to stop the run, we are still not getting enough pressure on the QB. Ware is 0'fer on sacks, which is not entirely his fault with the double and triple teams he is seeing. Spencer and Spears have got to step up and make plays to relieve pressure from Demarcus and Ratliff. They started turning it around in the 4th quarter but that was after they knew Carolina had stopped running the ball. We need to see that kind of pressure from the 1st quarter on for this team to be successful.
Overall...I'm happy we got the win but this team still has some serious flaws that I don't know can be fixed anytime soon. Penalties and poor tackling will kill us against quality teams, we have been fortunate to get away with it against teams that are a combined 0-6...not a good sign at all. Wade had better find a better way to fix these issues by next week because Denver is actually not the pushover we thought they would be.
I am not a hater at all he needs coaching you are right. I was just saying TO made him better then he is. With TO he could just huck it down the feild and let him catch up to it. Roy Williams can't do that.
He would do that in 2007 but he would drop the damn thing everytime down.
TO's play in Buffalo is telling of where he is at in his career.
Ahh I hate when people say that. Barber is the only one on this team that has proven he can carry them for a season. Felix gets injured every other carry, so he is unreliable.
Two things Barber blows them away at is blocking and goal line running.
Personally, I don't want to trade any of them. Barber is the best best of the bunch, Felix is a play maker and scares the out of defenses when he is on the field, and Choice is a solid young player, who seems like he is a great guy.
Plus if you trade one and Felix gets hurt again (hes already rumored to be out the next two games) then you're left with one rb.
Sure. Because having 38 td's while he was in Dallas proves he "would drop ther damn thing everytime down".
