I pretty much liked Black Sabbath (with Ozzy), Deep Purple, Judas Priest, AC-DC (with Bon Scott) the most.
2nd tier for me was probably UFO, Ted Nugent, Moxy, ZZ Top...

I discovered their music after the 70's but as far as I'm concerned my favorite band of all time, then or now, is STEELY DAN
Little Feat (Lowell George era) also Leon Russell, Humble Pie...dang..way too many to pick one favorite...I was also bouncing from hard rock to Texas country so Willie, David Allen Coe, Waylon Jennings, etc. get rated too...

I didn't like the stuff off the Aja album - peg... yuck.
Led Zeppelin. It's all about Led Zeppelin.
Ha their top 40 is their worst stuff! In fact, they hate it. "Home At Last", "I Got The News", "Deacon Blues" and "Josie" are the best tracks off the Aja album.

Those last 4 were all good too...Cat Stevens kind of flipped out in the 70's though and got pretty weird.

As far as the 70s go it's Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and it's not even close. Boston and KISS are awesome too.
In a way this is a topic you can't really answer. It's like your favorite movie actor. you want to say Al Pachino but you keep thinking of Danzel Washington.
Face it the 70s was to loaded with music. it had the best Disco, the best metal, rock, and easy listening. I don't admit the bands I like because people may judge you

The 70s was the best and worst times of my life. I would hang out with my wannabe biker buddy's listening to Saxxon,Judas Priest,and Black Sabbath..then I would sneak off put on my favorite corduroy pants and hit the disco.

then I would later meet one of my girlfriends at the park and make out to the music of...
So you see I am the wrong person to ask who my favorite 70s band, I was hoping others shared my sistuation. funny if it was favorite 90s band it would be no problem since only three good bands came out in the 90s.
