Yes, it would be great for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Games, but I have a problem with the Obama's personally going overseas to sell the idea. One of which is that if we get the games here in the USA again, he will get credit for it rather than the people who have devoted countless hours on the matter. I doubt he will make a big difference, short of ,making political promises. I have a problem with him stealing the limelight.
Any thoughts?

If he's the first, then it's a shame. Every Head of State should do whatever they can to get the Olympics held in their country.
He should definitely be pushing the people who have been heavily involved in the bidding process though.
I agree he should support them, but I do not believe a politician should personally meet with the decision makers on a non-political issue.
Again, if we get the Olympics in Chicago, who will get credit? Those who spend hundreds, if not thousands of hours , or him?
Besides, as president, shouldn't he be addressing our real concerns?
No probelm with it. If bush would have gone to wherever to help Houston get the bid I wouldn't have a problem with it either. We know, you hate Obama..
It actually doesn't bother me that he's trying to get the Olympics in the US, but there are a load of higher priorities he needs to be dealing with.
But, Obama is such a ing narcissist, that he probably thinks that his mere presence will get the Olympic bid.
