Thanks.
thank you, great to hear Manu is at 100% and G Hill is improved.
Any chance of seeing scrimmage in a vid? That would make my month, until it becomes October.![]()
I miss previous training camps when words like youth or athleticism were never said.
I am assuming this is French humour, lol.
Pop still seems to love Finley and does not want to change his role. Hopefully his minutes change. Bogans sounds thrilled to be a Spur.
Thanks for posting this. Really enjoyed it.
Should have asked POP how you compete against something that gets subsidized with an endless supply of stolen money.
He didnt mention minutes, although you kind of got a hint with "He's looking more and more like Steve Kerr every day"
At least thats what my CIA decoder ring said.
I don't like how Ian wasn't mentioned for the shot-blocking part, but that might not mean much obviously..we'll see..
It also sounds like Pop has the confidence in Hill now, which might not be too good for Marcus Williams..
I was worried about the Finley comments at first, but it's not like Pop is going to say that Finley will have a reduced role this year anyways..I think it's interesting that he mentioned Kerr for that though, as EricB pointed out..
Pop: "I'm happy to have George Hill as the backup point guard."
Woot!
These vids were all kinds of awesome, especially Pop's foray into politics.
Go Spurs Go!
What jumped out to me is Fin talking about the "back to basics" approach that Pop is taking with the team thus far. Of course that means defense!!! I really want to see the Spurs get back to being a team that strikes fear into opponents on that end of the floor. Good stuff!
Fin's comments on "The last two years we were focusing on offense alot, now its all defense" really really put me at ease.
Sounds like old pop is back.
HIs video though was hi LARIOUS. Pop and Duncan are sneaky funny.
Pop is great, I'd like to see a interview with him everyday
Yeah, Pop was in a great mood which means he's feeling pretty good with what he is seeing. I haven't seen him this giddy in awhile.![]()
he's literally like a kid after christmas day with all his new toys.
Pop was in top notch form today I see.
I liked Finley's response when they asked him about the added athleticism on the team, he said something to the effect of: '...when I first got here, I was one of the most athletic guys on the team; now I'm 13th, almost the least athletic... Thank God Tim's still on the team.'
Finley's kid goes to the same school my kids go to, and I saw Finley and his wife at the school's picnic last Friday. He's a very cool guy and can be very funny.
Finley's role looks to be mentor, teacher, veteran presence off the bench.
Much like Kerr's in his last year.
Hence Pop saying "he's looking more and more like Steve Kerr everyday."
Haha, hilarious indeed.
