I want to see if Hill is shooting better but I think the key for him is run the offence well.

Last season he deferred too much to Manu and I this season he'll be on the court with Manu a lot

Last year Hill kept falling into these periods where he'd just be so focused on trying to be a good point guard that he would just completely abandon looking for his own scoring opportunities. If he can find that balance between running the show while still recognizing that it's okay for him to call his own number from time to time he'll be fine.
+1..all about the confidence in his own game and style..

I also wanna see him finish stronger like he did in SL..obviously the NBA is a much tougher game with bigger bodies in the middle, but there's no reason he should be taking soft layups at the basket like he did a lot of the time last year..he has the athleticism and length to at least get to the line often IMO..

its all up to POP we can wish all we want, make theories all we want but if POP goes back to his old stubborn self wer FCKD as .....

FINLEY- 5-10 mins a game = SPURS all the way to 5th RING
BONNER-3-5 mins a game = SPURS all the way to 5th RING

HILL/BLAIR/HAISLIP in regular rotation = SPURS all the way to 5th RING

    FINLEY/BONNER -30- 35 mins a game = SPURS out in the 1st ROUND

thats what im worried most forget health its the players thats needs to play shud play ....HILL all the upside wont be there if he plays 5mins a game ..blair no rebounds if plays 1 game and a DNP the next it wont work they need time on the court to be able to contribute.....

What has Haislip done to warrant minutes over Matt Bonner?

His aggressiveness in the SL really impressed me. Even if it was just SL seeing Hill just explode down the lane and dunk on somebody just made me downright giddy.

As for Hill, this is the season that will tell us whether or not he's an NBA level player. He has a great opportunity to shine and take a big step in the right direction. If we don't see improvement, then there's a chance that he's out of the league in a year or two. I think he should do well but he could go either way.

Hill will be an All-Star someday. book it

Every time I have seen Hill play (first SL, rookie season, this SL...) he has always had the ability to get to the rim. Against all compe ion. That is a great sign that bodes well for him. He did not always finish at the rim, but he has the ability to do so.

His finishing on the NBA level really had a lot to do with confidence..once he hit the rookie wall, everything changed..he was finishing well when he first got his chance and impressed all of us..there's no reason he shouldn't be doing that all the time..he's quick, he can get up, and he has freakish arms..

I think it's very possible that Pop had a talk with him following the playoffs..he showed some confidence in him to end the series..he came into the SL with A LOT of swag, and it looks like it's carried over into training camp..confidence really goes a long way..
