I still think Palin is gonna take a shot at the House / Senate before she jumps to the big show.
I disagree. A lot of her appeal (amongst those that like her) is being the proverbial washington outsider and she loses that if she goes to Congress. Not that I think she's ever going to win it, but her best shot is in 2012. As time goes on her act is going to get tired. She can't afford to wait until 2016.

"She can't afford to wait until 2016"

Exactly, her sex appeal to NRA/racist bubbas (who vote with their s and proxies call guns) will be greatly diminished in 7 years. She could of course start flashing a lot of deep cleavage from those enormous watery s as a key platform plank.

I like the way she finishes what she starts and the way she handles herself when giving interviews.

    Keep laughing...

NEW YORK - Just two days after HarperCollins announced that Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" had been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, preorders Wednesday night for the former Alaska governor's memoir made it No. 1 on both Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com.

Among the books "Going Rogue" is outselling: Sen. Ted Kennedy's "True Compass," Mitch Albom's "Have a Little Faith" and Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol," his first novel since "The Da Vinci Code" and, perhaps until now, the year's most anticipated release.

She also got a 7 million dollar advance from a very liberal publisher - so I guess they know more than you guys here.

HarperCollins is very liberal? You might want to check out who owns that publisher.

Anyway, publishers would be stupid not to want to sell her book is so many rubes are lining up for it.

This was posted on Politico on August 31st. More "proof" that nobody likes her or wants to hear from her...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said.

Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. She has signed with Washington Speakers Bureau, which represents everyone from George and Laura Bush to Bob Woodward and Katie Couric to Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin, and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said.

Palin will be doing both paid speeches, which are expected to go for six figures apiece, and unpaid speeches for political and charitable causes, including Christian organizations, groups that support families with special-needs children and military families.

Palin has made no commitments so far, and Washington Speakers Bureau will start responding to the invitations this week.

She’s about 85 percent finished with her book, due out this spring from HarperCollins. Then she’ll begin looking through the inch-and-a-half thick file her lawyer, Robert Barnett, has built of offers for network and cable pundit gigs, do entaries and business opportunities.

We've pretty much all agreed this book is going to sell. I mean it has two huge target audiences, very stupid people and people who want a good laugh.

I buy most of my books used or distributor sendbacks. I'm sure I'll be able to pick up a remainder copy of Palin's book for $2 if I am inclined to do so.

No, Reagan was not an easy target and neither was GHW Bush. W, however, was.
Yes, I was talking about W, the one who actually won multiple elections, in spite of being "an easy target". Reagan was not an easy target? The dummy was treated with even more condescension, scorn, contempt and lack of manners than Mrs. Palin, not only by leftists but also the dominant cast of east coast republicans and basically the entire media-academic complex.
