Unlike some peeps here...I actually met her. Saw her at Chachos a few weeks ago. Took a pic with a camera phone but it got deleted.

She is very hot. I have said that many times and everyone here knows she's hot, but I don't get tired of saying it.
During the early episodes of Urban Jungle she admitted that her boobs have helped sell houses but she doesn't understand why men are so obsessed with them.
On the latest ep they played up the friendship between the 2 Vanessas as a lesbian love affair. All in good fun. Not much eye candy except for a scene where she was cradling her puppies to keep them from bouncing too much during aerobics. A touching moment was to watch her heart breaking for a crying baby in the clinic they were working at. Made me love her all the more.
They should put her on Trumps apprentice...

Man I was bummed cuz I had not seen her in a while, was good to see her on the tube once again. That girl is something special..
man. i've just seen urban jungle 2 and vanessa es un masota! i know it's hard to, but even if you took away the cans there's something refreshing about her. she seems pretty down to earth. not too snobby, but she looks it. are there any new pics of her? i just see the same old ones.

S.A. native Vanessa Macias Ballou, who most remember as the curvaceous spokeswoman on World Car ads, is embarking on a new TV adventure.
Starting Saturday, you can see Ballou, 29, as host of a locally produced travel show. "Vamos!" will air at 6 p.m. Saturdays on Fox affiliate KABB. Executive-produced by Luis MuŇoz (formerly of KENS' "Great Day SA" and now with Bauhaus Media Group), the half-hour will showcase spectacular Mexican resorts — destinations like Canc˙n, Playa del Carmen and Cabo San Lucas.
First stop: Cozumel. There, Ballou went scuba diving, swam with giant stingrays and ate exotic dishes. The Incarnate Word High School grad described the half-hour as more "fun reality show" than travelogue.
"It has evolved," Ballou told me over chips and queso at the Josephine Street CafČ. "Weird things happen to me when I travel."
For instance, no matter where she goes, Ballou said, she brings rain. The minute she hit the water in Cozumel, she said, it started to pour. "I swear to you; I'm cursed," she said.
Moreover, she may be on a travel show, but she hates the process — packing, getting on a plane, etc. "If I could teleport, it would be perfect."
Don't expect a polished hostess. "I have fallen in the salty water and come up looking like a drowned rat. On vacation, you look like ."
She's a self-described worry wart. "I constantly think I'll be abducted; I won't even park next to a van with sliding doors."
First thing she asked resorts in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen was about the swine flu. "Thankfully, they told me they weren't at all affected by that."
Viewers may remember her as "Daring Vanessa" on "Great Day SA" five years ago, where she took on challenges such as skydiving. However, she was spooked recently by one experience: horseback riding in Playa del Carmen through swamps that reportedly contained crocodiles.
Though known for her looks, Ballou says she was "a nerd" at the University of North Texas, where she studied broadcast news/political science. She also was a fervent human/animal rights advocate.
Her "favorite job ever"? Writing speeches. She had experience doing just that while working for former and current state Sens. Frank Madla and Carlos Uresti.
Ballou also loves sports; a fond memory was working with Don Harris as a sports intern at our local NBC affiliate. She even married a sports anchor — Bob Ballou, the former weekend sportscaster on KENS who currently does sports for Austin's CBS affiliate.
She can't complain about her current gig, however. "What's not to like about spending nine days in Puerto Vallarta?" she said, adding that she'd love to see the half-hour go national — a la the Brooke Burke-hosted E! travel show, "Wild On . . ."
Ballou certainly has had moments that could be classified as "wild." While learning to surf in Port Aransas for the "Close to Home" segment on "Vamos!" she inadvertently "mooned everyone on the beach," she recalled. "There was such a strong current. I nearly lost my bikini bottom."
Will this be on the show? "I believe so," Ballou said. "They're going to find a way to pixilate it."

I was behind her in line at Target a few months back. She is gorgeous. She looks great on TV and online, but in person she is amazing. Oh, and yes..........she has massive mounds of flesh that defy the laws of gravity!!!!

So what's the deal... she was dating/married to Bob Ballou for quite some time. I know she moved up to Austin with him when he went to KEYE... no idea they were/had gotten divorced.
Vanessa and her partner are listed as "dating divorcees". I saw he's a bar owner but I don't know/recognize him.
Apparently not on TV very long with that big red X next to their pic.
