Very cool...he was about 2/3 grown...after the rain he was out in my back yard just chillin out and dryin out...I watched him for almost an hour...and I don't live in the country...I'm inside Wurzbach Parkway north central...

Please tell me he wasn't dinner.![]()
I took a couple of it laying out by the arena fence but he was pretty far away...the camera/chip is at the house...I'll post tomorrow.
LOL...I'd have probably shot it if it had been a coyote (I've had them there too) but I like foxes and bobcats.
Have a red fox that comes to troll the yard every few weeks. Damn thing can't weigh over 10 lbs.
Cool little animals.
Foxes remind me of red pandas.
This one had very neat coloration...It had alternating red/grey stripes on it's face, red chest and front legs, and the back end and tail was grey...
Dammit, I thought this was another thread about me!![]()
shhhhhhhhh! you don't want to get atrain all excited!
If that were the case
this would have been a more appropriate thread le.Had a cougar at my house yesterday morning...
True. My first cat was rescued as a newborn from the jaws of a fox---the rest of her litter
and mama cat weren't so lucky![]()

I saw only a busy tail disappearing into some brush, but I'm pretty sure it was a fox, too bushy tail to be coyote, but it was a very brief glimpse, inside Loop 410, near the N/E driving range, in the Salado Creek Linear Park, between 410 and Austin Highway.

Yep...I watched it for at least half an hour...
please tell me im not the only one that got that
no offense to CC, thats just funny right there
CC how big was your fox? I read that link that said "up to 9kg" and that seems kinda small for the ones I've seen around here. The only other ones I've seen were where I lived in Georgia; those were red foxes, but they were very small, like smaller than a house cat.
Did you eat it ?
Nice Maalox.
This little guy was definitely bigger than a house cat...His body was maybe 18" long nose to butt and his tail was longer than his body...The only reason I said I didn't think he was full grown is that I have seen bigger ones around here.
Very cool. I've only seen foxes far away, though in the wild. I once saw on cross traffic(with wooded areas along the road).
no mice in your house
That is an awesome looking fox.
Very healthy-looking fox.
I have a skunk that forages on my back lot, but it's half-naked from mange.
