    Last time I checked the box score, Gooden had 18 points, and Marion and Howard hadn't played a second. Are they injured?

    Dirk had around 20 free throws. I remember hearing the new refs are calling games tight, a lot of fouls. We might see a lot more BS calls vs. Dirk this year; he flails around so much.

    Gooden continues to prove he can score and has a nice offensive arsenal but his defense hasn't improved much.

    Humphries looks decent though.

    Nota bad game just makes me want basketball to start even more... Overall I'm really surprised how good gooden played. Anybody know if he was playing the 5 spot most of the night orwhat ? Too bad marion or Howard didn't play though as that would of gave us a much better indication of how the mavs are gonna be this year...

    The only thing I gathered from this game is that JJ Barea is so bad defensively that I don't even care about his playmaking abilities at the other end. I just want him off the court completely.

    I thought Dallas played well. They won't miss Bass too much imo because Humphries is a solid player. Orlando looked solid as well.

    It will be interesting to see the Mavs with J-Ho and Marion out there.
