I've seen them do it before. Dissecting late night TV takes on the President is a classic cable news time waster.
The MSM still won't take off their Obama bibs.
I've never seen an SNL skit disected and analyzed in this way.
They even threw in part of Tina Fey's impression of Palin for good measure.
I wonder if this is why Fox's "Red Eye" has more viewers at 3:00 am than CNN does at 8:00 pm?
I've seen them do it before. Dissecting late night TV takes on the President is a classic cable news time waster.
What do y'all think.
Did CNN do this on there own, or were they sent a memo from the WH?
Red Eye is a fun show, if i am ever up at that time, i always watch it or have it on the background
the red eye is a terrible attempt at comedy.
RedEye is great.
They almost always have a gorgeous lady on and Guttfield is pretty funny.
Redeye is funny the first time couple of times you see it. Then it just gets lame. His little lines like "she's so hot the oven uses her to cook stuff" or "he's so smart books read him" got played out loooooooong ago.
It's geared towards younger conservatives who are just as obtuse as their parents who watch in the daytime.
Politifact analyzes the skit too: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...aign-promises/
(and I believe their article was up before CNN did the story)
Where do you think CNN got their information?
Hmmm - I don't recall anyone doing a "fact check" on the Tina Fey Sarah Palin skits. In fact, there are still many, many people who think Sarah Palin actually said "I can see Russia from my house".
This just goes back to the fact that Obama is very thin-skinned and can't take criticism from anyone. I mean - how utterly stupid is it that CNN is "fact-checking" a SNL skit?
Uh...I am pretty sure Obama could care less about what SNL does. What makes you think CNN or Politifact did their pieces in response to anything Obama said or did? I think they did their pieces because they thought people would find it interesting, i.e. - ratings for CNN, website hits for Politifact.
Do you think Obama commissioned this CNN expose?
Pretty stupid. Though I could think of things that are more stupid.I mean - how utterly stupid is it that CNN is "fact-checking" a SNL skit?
This is pretty dumb.
You think Obama is on the phone with CNN making sure they fact-check late-night comedy?![]()
Not Obama - but Rahm Emanuel doesn't seem too far-fetched. Obama is all about how he looks and he's an egomaniacal narcissist - and he doesn't take criticism very well.
And this is the President who's been on Leno and Letterman - so I think he maybe does care what late-night audiences think.
So it's based on you making it all up.
Based on what? You making it all up again? Did Obama go out and spend $100,000 on clothes during his campaign or was that someone else?Obama is all about how he looks and he's an egomaniacal narcissist - and he doesn't take criticism very well.
Jesus christ I hope you don't have children. And this is the President who's been on Leno and Letterman - so I think he maybe does care what late-night audiences think.
What an unkind thing to say.
Massaging the news is part of the political battle. And while it may seem far-fetched to think that late night comedy and fake news shows are very high on the President's list of priorities they do shape people's views and can be influential -- just consider Tina Fey's Emmy-winning Sarah Palin impression.
all i know is that the guy does a terrible impression.
Sorry I kicked sand in your vagina. I really hope she doesn't if the thought processes she exhibits here are in any way similar to the thought processes she uses to raise any children she might have.
I'm not sore about it. I just thought it was gauche.
I also happen to know that Crookshanks has a grown son.
I don't deny that. But that's what immediately came to mind when I read that last statement of hers.
Let's hope he thinks for himself.
Wow that's a new one.... of course cnn is hardly a "news" agency, but yeah SNL has always been an outlet to push the envelope too have the state run media castigate them is revealing. I'm sure the WH called up cnn to do a hit piece, I like how they refer to Obama as the leader of the free world. I'm sure they would have never extended that courtesy to Bush, they would have never gotten involved in it.
We have the Soros DNC recruiting movie stars to make these propoganda spots about pleding alligance to Obama. I think most of the people that voted for him thought he was a canidate for American Idol. The DNC knows that there's a large segment of numbnuts who are more influenced by the icons of popular culture, and catchy jingos than by a debate or what they will bother to read, to have such a large pop cultural icon cast asspertions on obama is tantomount to saying the emperor or "messiah" has no clothes.Blackeye for the whitehouse.![]()
You may want to reach puberty before you start discussing child rearing.
I guess your obsession with pre-pubescent boys is rearing its ugly head again.
