Pardon the pun but which basketball players have none of the proverbial cajones? Who shrinks instead of rising to the occasion?

    I'll start with 2:

Sasha Vujacic: Earned the le of "10AM player" because he always shot perfectly during practice but sucked in games. He overcame this for a year but it seems he's back to shrinking in games. The Machine hasn't been a machine for a year now and his 0 points in the Finals didn't help.

Mo Williams: Deadeye 18 pts on 47% shooting in the regular season and 44% on 3's. But in the Playoffs, his pair shrank as his shooting went down to an attrocious 40% and 37% on his 3's. In 3 losses to the Magic, Mo Williams combined for 31% shooting...on 2 point Shots!! His 3 point shooting was at 18 friggin' percent.

What other players out there are known for shrinkage?

Citin' Vug is wrong. Vug will see the fire and tail Bryant immediately to it. Vug is impotent once there, but, he goes.

    Mo won't go near it.

There are few, damn few who will go AND be effective. Bryant, Manu, Duncan. Parker would rather not. James wants to, but, isn't comfortable like the aforementioned trio. Pierce & Allen, but, not Garnett, he'll only go once it is out and its his scoreboard.

Williams at Utah wants to badly but, hasn't seen it yet.

Nowitski won't go, but pretends to, but, he don't mean no harm. It's just his way.

Fisher will go, and is nary afraid.

You moron are the first to mention that soft name in this thread. Nene should be second to none for nomination when here starts a discussion about "players without balls". Sincerely there isn't an alternative to cure testicle cancers but removing them.

Kevin Garnett on the offensive end. While him anchoring the D helped us win it all in 2008, he would rather not take the big shots under playoff pressure. He sucked for most of the 2008 finals. He had a good start in game 1 and played well when the game was out of reach in game 6. Other than that he was MIA offensively the rest of the series.

It wasn't T-Mac's injury that gave the Rockets an "injury exception" with which they signed Ariza, was it? T-Mac is possibly going to be on court in a couple games next season while someone else won't, unless something miraculous happens to that for some reason.

Now that you mention it, I do remember this a few years ago, KG used to curl up when the game was on the line (offensively). I don't really hear this anymore, I suppose it's cuz he has Ray Ray and Pierce to make those game winners.
