I like how Rashad Evans was there for Demico, I was rooting for Rampage, but after what happened last night it's hard not to love what Evans is doing.

He's bad but nobody will ever be worse than Shamrock. Lets not forget he showed up to coach, with a meat-head weight lifting coach, and no JJ or MMA guys to help out. Then he basically blew off training sessions with his guys more than once..
At least Page has a good crew to help out, but yes his coaching skills suck..
I love how Dana talked so much about Kimbo before TUF, and then proceeded to slobber over Kimbo's even though he lost to Roy Nelson. Of course he now realizes the marketing potential that Kimbo has (why Kimbo ever had so much marketing potential is beyond me), and he wants to focus on Kimbo as much as possible, no matter how poorly he fights.
Also, I am really tiring of Rampage. He his a horrible coach who doesn't take the task seriously. TUF has him in there to make cheesy one liners and they are milking that every chance they get. I hope if his "acting" venture fails miserably, the UFC will tell him to off when he comes crawling back, but that probably wouldn't happen.
I've been impressed with how Evans has been giving thoughtful insights into his fighters and really trying to figure them out to help them not just in the compe ion but also if they continue fighting. He's more hands-on than Rampage, who just seems to let his coaching crew do most of the work.
lol @ team rampage. Im really glad Sims got his ass kicked. I like the Fort Worth kid. Hopefully Kimbo can get back in this thing. I want him to fight pussy boy from team Rashad.![]()
I don't know. Ken, occasionally at least, pretended to care about his team. Also, he did manage to occasionally pull out a victory. So far this season Rampage has accomplished neither.
Maybe I'm biased. I've lost a lot of respect for Quinton as a person over the past year or so. He had that complete breakdown after his loss to Forrest which actually threatened other peoples' lives; he badmouthed Forrest after Griffin's loss to Silva; now the fact that he obviously doesn't give a damn about anybody on his team but himself. It's a pattern of immature, selfish, sometimes dangerous behavior that shouldn't sit well with any self-respecting adult.
I don't know why rashad goes and talks with ramapage about his coaching and respecting fighters?
Quinton is right - i do my job you do your job
Why rashad cares? He should sit quiet there and coach his team.
Yeah i still like him but he's had issues no doubt about that. The guy is a fighter not a coach, and with his team just getting hammered, he packed it in early. But he'll be back fighting soon, i have no doubt of that.
Mike Wessel reveals just how much preferential treatment Kimbo actually got on TUF:
His talent may be in question, but his marketability isn’t. And when the UFC negotiated an offer for Kimbo Slice to demote himself to “Ultimate Fighter” status, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there were a number of waivers in the contract.
In addition to Dana White admitting Slice’s UFC deal would be “different” financially than any other contestant’s, cast member Mike Wessel disclosed to Heavy.com that Slice’s entourage was in attendance for the Roy Nelson fight.
“There was like three big black guys, and what I was told was his wife,” Wessel said of the taping. “They were like, ‘Yeah, that's his wife and one of his sons, along with his posse. That's Icy Mike, his promoter and manager.’…I was furious! Not at Kimbo, but at the e team for letting that happen…Everyone has their own things going on, but because it's Kimbo, everyone wants to kiss his ass.” To nail the point home, Wessel explained that, like all cast members, he was not allowed to interact with family -- even though his wife was scheduled for cancer surgery.
Which raises this question in my mind: What the are you doing on reality tv when your wife is having surgery for cancer?
Money for the surgery?
“ ties, “ ties, “ ties can't lose to a guy with “ ties...
At least Page is still funny since he can't coach.. I thought Zach fought hard, he was in that triangle forever and never tapped. Got choked out but didn't quit
I can't believe that Page's team is 0-6. I don't think that has ever happened before.. I think Hughes lost 5 straight against Serra before his team got a win. You would think just with the unpredictability of MMA, that these guys are all pretty even on the show, especially from the middle down, and sheer luck that Page would have won at least one fight by now..
Everytime i see Page and Rashad getting at eachother i get pissed off their fight is off.. Get back to fighting Page.. This Hollywood bull is idiotic..
Best episode so far. It was kind of sad that they pitted the two outcasts against each other, I wanted both to have at least something to cheer about but there can only be one winner. Both took good punches and both fought hard.
I'm not real sure why Zac got picked on, sometimes guys ask for it but he didn't seem to invite the kind of he was getting. SHARKS!
I like how Rashad always sticks up for his fighters and gives awesome advice/motivation. "He wants to quit. Help him quit." That's something I'll keep in my head next time I got some sort of compe ion. Really, really wish Rampage would just fight...making movies seems so far removed from his at ude toward fighting. He's a fighter, he needs to fight Rashad and get worked.
Yea, that was schweeet. Especially after they talked about how bad his cardio looked. REPRESENT!
Props to Zach.
I'm not sure if it was the way they edited the show but it was almost like we actually saw the lightbulb turn on for him; the guy showed a lot of heart and earned a lot of respect with the way he conducted himself during that fight.
in, Schoonover...
Nothing like getting tanked before practice and having a dip after a workout.![]()
I'm still a 'Page fan but I'm finding myself cringe at times watching the show; it's one thing to be a ty coach but it'd be nice if it actually looked like he gave a . I was pretty indifferent towards Rashad prior to the show, but he's really been winning me over; he just comes off as a pretty genuine good, hard-working dude.
You know, if Rampage put as much effort into training and giving advice to his fighters rather than playing pranks and always joking around, maybe his team wouldn't be 0-6 in fights so far. Rashad's team is all about business and no BS. That's why that team hasn't lost a fight yet.
True, he is just there to get exposure and collect a check. All he wants to do is talk and play jokes on people. I would have loved to see Evans whoop his ass.
Page coaching in your corner:
"under hooks, under hooks...breathe...breathe...I can't believe I lost again...I hate losing...WTF"
You can't really blame page.. You think he really had a choice in the matter of coaching the season? Also, he's said he's not a coach. He likes to joke and around. I don't mind it, I don't get why people care so much about how good of a coach Rampage should be on the show.
Most of this is scripted , you can tell, so try not to work yourselves up so much.
lol....true
I think it's funny how much Darril got under Page's skin when he bucked up to him...
He tried to act tough, but you can tell he didnt expect that soft ass dude to wanna throw with him.
Would have been funny to see, those two spar.
Page would have KO'd him in about 5 seconds..
I'm sure, but i like the guys tenacity. I think page expected him to just act like a punk and not stand up for himself...
