Idk when. I read the roster updates on the internets. I might buy my uncles modded 360 for 300 bucks. It's an elite and he just bought it like 2 weeks ago. He wants the COD 360. I want to have two 360's so I can have two 360's and combine them to make a 720 and beat everyone to the punch. I probably wont be on for a hwhile.
Alright guys should I buy this game or Live? I have a PS3 and won't be able to play online with you guys, but is this game worth 60 bucks?
It's not worth $60. The franchise mode sucks balls. Unless you have fun watching all of you're player's ratings drop.
See there and that is what I play too is the franchise mode. Is the game play phoney/glitchy?
Not really glitchy apart from bad post play and the usual 2k bugs that involve the refs and stuff like that.
How is the post play bad? It's one of the most improved things about the game.
Maybe it is a setting I have yet to discover but guys I am having issues with the fatigue. I am playing 10 minute quarters yet my guys energy levels are going down rapidly. I even changed the stamina levels on the game sliders and it isn't make it better. It is like this for any team I start with.
Nevermind. I just turned fatigue off.
I love the fatigue on 2k10. After some guy turbos his way to the hole and dunks on your entire team with LeBron for the 3rd straight time, he's not that good until he subs out for a minute.
No more holding turbo all the time is a huge plus. Like said, it makes it a lot harder to out a player for lengthy periods of time which is way more realistic. Dunno why they didn't do that earlier. Just don't hold down turbo unless you need it and watch the stamina bar.
Also, the autoguard is a lot fairer. You have to anticipate moves instead of just holding the button and waiting for them to do a move. Plus, it tires you out faster.
The post play, and just scoring/defense around the basket, is the best its ever been.
A solid entry, undeniably. I like the reduced player ratings best - no more scrubs burning you for 20 when you're not even doubling off of em or anything.

ehh association mode is the best its ever been for 2k. It (association mode) the reason I play bball games - running through 82 games and the PO for a le is really great if you don't cheat (ie turn off the console if you lose type thing). There's some nice stuff in 2k10. You can actually do a practice with your guys ie shoot with them, run plays with them, etc (believe it or not, that wasn't possible til this version). The amount of info/stats you can get concerning teams and players, contract situations, drafting/picks etc has always been really indepth, and the actual player/team ratings themselves are fairly accurate for a change. No one ever likes everything, but this version kicks ass IMO.
And if you want phoney/glitchy, NBA Live will surely do the trick. I've played every NBA live since 03 and they just don't hold a candle to the 2k series. At least if you want the opposite of 'phoney' in your basketball game.
BTW, my player ratings usually improve pretty vastly ... you're doing something wrong with your assigned roles/minutes if your players are unhappy...

Totally worth it compared to 2k9. If you like a more simulation like game then you made a good choice. The new game pace is great and overall they fixed a lot of issues from the last version. No more Beno Udrih dropping 20 on you because he can't miss from 3pt range
Mine tends to get 'laggy' after a couple games or so when players attempt shots around the basket. Apparently a lot of people are having this problem judging from recent reports and the 2k forum. Any of you getting that? I don't mean online, just quick game or association.
Besides this issue which is being addressed in a patch soon, I'd have to say this is the best 2k yet.
