Yup, he's so fast, you think you see him, then the playoffs come around, and you have no idea where he went.

If you think Marion is good, then wait till he plays against the Spurs or tries to create his own shot, then get back to me.
The Suns were scared of the Spurs. You could see it. The Mavs aren't. Different team with a different at ude. Unless he has an injury (God forbid) I think Marion is going to be a monster this year.

I've seen Marion in interviews when he was on different teams. I've never seen him like this. He appears to be absolutely "giddy" about being in Dallas. The whole team seems different. They're so upbeat and loose. Chemistry seems very strong. I have a really good feeling about this year.

It wasn't just the Spurs. Marion has been a choke artist against various teams in the playoffs. He's just a flat out, made mentally soft choker.

Ignoring the fact that he always guarded the toughest player on the other team and was the only player that would attempt to help on D.

But he doesn't need to create his own shot with us, thats the thing. He got 26 points last night and we only ran TWO plays for him.

And we have Dirk for the spurs.

He didn't need to with the Suns either. That doesn't mean he won't throw away 4-5 possessions every game trying to dribble drive or shoot off the dribble. Plus, if he doesn't get his shots, he turns into a whiny cancer who plays lazy.

After the last two years in basketball Siberia, Marion seems motivated and excited to be a Mav. Hopefully he gained some perspective from not being in a winning environment.

You act like Marion cares about winning. Marion cares more about Marion than anyone/thing else.

And if I seem bitter, I am bitter that if Marion (the Suns highest paid player at the time) wasn't a sackless lazy cuckold against the Spurs in 2007, the Suns win a championship.

He got paid and he's on a winning team. He was way more dissatisfied in Miami and Toronto than he ever was in Phoenix. We'll see what happens.

DoK, can you name one Suns player in the past 30 years you actually liked besides Tim Thomas?

Not at all. He said that he enjoyed playing on Miami more than Phoenix because he was under appreciated in Phoenix and too much was expected.

Well see how he works, it is a good thing that he's re-united with Kidd. He got along a lot better with Kidd than he did with Nash.

I doubt he feels that way now. In any event, we'll see what happens.

Remember when Big Jake was drafted , the Colangelos hyped him up like he was the answer to Shaq they've been missing.

I rememember what he looks like, he has a short shelf life like Patrick Garrity in Phoenix and the rest of the crappy centers they've been through over the years.

I'm not sure this is really true. It's undeniable that he plays worse in the playoffs, but maybe it's because of the style he plays and not necessarily a mental hangup.

Marion gets almost all his points in transition and with "easy" baskets. In the playoffs when defenses tighten up, those "easy" buckets are harder to come by. Since he can't create his own shot, his production naturally goes down. I really don't think it's because he's a "choker".
