Zombieland was hilarious lol
Pretty stoked to see this movie tonight.
Zombieland was hilarious lol
I just came back from the show and thought it was very good. It freaked me the out and movies don't usually freak me out. It was excellent.
Damn I wanna see this movie.....and if anyone else is interested in a weird ass new horror movie being talked about alot, search up: "Human Centipede: The First Sequence."
Here's the sypnosis for it:
Two pretty American girls are on a road trip through Europe. In Germany they end up alone at night with a broken car in the woods. They search for help and find an isolated villa. The next day they awake to find themselves trapped in his terrifying makeshift basement hospital along with a Japanese man. An older German man identifies himself as a retired surgeon specialized in separating Siamese twins. However his three "patients" are not about to be separated, but joined together in a horrific operation. He plans to be the first person to connect people via their gastric system, in doing so bringing to life his sick lifetime fantasy "the human centipede".

I finally saw this movie last night... all I can say is wow.... the entire audience was quiet when the lights came up. I can honestly say, I've never been in a theater with this type of reaction from the entire auditorium... what a great movie.
Paranormal Activity was probably the worst movie ive seen this year....seriously.
Nothing was scary about it. It sucked so bad.....![]()

Would you people just ing decide already...which is it...
If you are expecting demonic possesion drama like the Exorcist or Poltregeist like hauntings then you are in for a big upset.
More than 90% is just talking and the few "horror" scenes are so predictable and boring that i was laughing the whole time....
If you are easily entertained, this is the movie for you...![]()
I personally did not like it, but to each their own. It certainly was not bad, just not nearly as good as it was made to appear.
Those kind of things don't scare me one bit, In horror movies I prefer suggestion and "building tension".
I had read alot about this movie before actually seeing it. I looked up stories of Steven Speilberg watching it on DVD, then taking it back in a paper bag muttering the movie was haunted. I also saw lots of critical praise saying it is the "scariest movie of the decade". After watching it, I was slightly disappointed.
It was very much a 'Blair Witch Project' clone in the use of a camcorder for footage and shot do entary style. The audio and video quality is pretty low rate, kind of like watching an amateur wedding video or something. While it had some clever moments, I never felt the urge to scream or jump out of my seat as the trailers seem to sell you on.
The story revolves around a couple living in a very nice home in California. The boyfriend (Micah) buys a camcorder due to his girlfriend (Katie) having weird dreams and feeling like something is haunting them in their bedroom at night. Over the course of about 3 weeks, we see them reviewing the tape and noticing irrational things start happening. It is a slow build to a decent climax that was somewhat ruined by one of the ending shots being in the trailer (so you kind of expect it coming). Lots of loud banging noises, invisible steps, moving doors and covers being pulled are the range of this haunting and it seemed more campy than scary.
This is not to say this wasn't an entertaining movie, I really enjoyed the boyfriend's performance from a comedic standpoint. He is a control freak that really likes cussing at would be ghosts and antagonizing them with Ouija boards (which made for one of the cooler scenes). The girlfriend also played her role decently, especially when she starts to be controlled by the demons surrounding her. I think one of the better things that made the movie watchable was how they acted like a real couple instead of a couple of actors playing roles. This movie would have been made alot worse with high budget effects and big name stars, losing some of it's charm.
Overall, don't go into this expecting to be scared out of your minds like the promos would lead you to believe. Aside from a few minor jolts here and there, the majority of the movie is alot of conversation and watching 2 people unravel into panic mode before you eyes. Also, be prepared for 'Cloverfield' nausea if shaky camera work bothers you. That said, it was an entertaining movie and had some originality to it's story. Wait for a late night dollar movie showing if you can or grab the DVD and watch it after hours to try and muster some the dark horror feel. Thumbs semi-up...
I thought it sucked. To much hype going into the movie. I was expecting to be scared through out the whole movie.
it was alright, not as scary as people made it out to believe
So...just watched the movie...I knew exactly what this movie was and was NOT going into it...I liked how it gradually built into something more and more...the theater was packed...which was good and bad...good that it made the tension thicker...bad that all the dumb s started laughing and making comments during parts they should shut the up...all in all...I liked it..could have been even creapier...ending was meh...
I enjoyed and recommend watching this in a theater. It definitely gave me chills.
just watched trailer, looks pretty scared
anyone seen the spainish film [rec] ?
This movie was so horrible it made me mad. The only thing that will horrify you is when you think of the ten bucks you just wasted on this .
Rec was excellent. It was everything American horror movies should be and aren't.
I didn't think Paranormal Activity was that bad. I don't see how some people thought it was so horrifying, but it did a decent job building tension in the right places and it wasn't gory, which would have detracted from the story. I think, frankly, the people who really hated it just didn't have the attention span to appreciate the buildup. All in all, a pleasant way to spend an hour and a half.
i started to get it off btjunkie...then stopped it...now i'll start it again...spurstalk reviews are all over the place!
i'm sure it will be alright with the lights down, some popcorn and a 6 pack...
LOL i bet you've never seen a scary movie you liked in your life
why'd you even bother going
REC ruled, and I've heard from three different sources this was pretty scary so I might give it a shot. Mayybe.
Well the first thing...is realize what you're about to watch...there's no real story line other than clips of what the couple took...no big bangs...no huge special effects...no bloody gore...just your good old fashioned bump in the night type of scary movie...it builds up as things start happening more and more..so yes...people with LOW attention spans will definitely think this movie is a piece of crap...in fact I think this movie may be even creapier at night in the dark...watching it at home...
Translation: I am also trying to download a load of porn and the 5mb of free wireless I am sponging off my neighbor's needs to be put to better use.

What was so fantastic about the buildup? Things do start happening more and more but they are repe ive, and mind numbingly predictable. Then after you wait through all of the crap for a payoff one never really comes. There are a lot of slow paced movies that do an excellent job of building up tension to the climax. Paranormal activity is not one of them. This movie just sucked ass.
