The male ego really is a fragile thing, isn't it?

BTW, not trying to speak for FWD, but he seems like a private man and I doubt he would want his real name and email addy plastered on these pages. Perhaps Atrain and Dan could edit that out?
edited, dan if you could please.

Hmmm....I'm not really sure what to do about the no-pay...whatever you guys decide on that is ok by me.

On the paypal fees, I've got no problem with you deducting those fees from the winnings or getting us to pay them upfront when we send them in.

On the weekly roster....I'm not in favor of those. I don't even like doing it that way in fantasy hoops. If anyone wants to adjust their roster weekly they can certainly do that. You have the possibility to set your lineup for every day of the week in one day, it's not that complicated.

Baseball is a nightly game, not a weekly game so I will cast a strong nay vote for going to weekly. And I again point out you really can do it weekly under the current system with little or no penalty should you want to do so...you just fill out your lineup for the week in one day, will take you about 5-10 minutes to do it.

On roster limits during the regular season, I will go with the will of the league on that one. I was mainly concerned with the post season.

And thanks FWDT, I will be back

And congrats on getting married as well
I agree with whottt on all his points. In particular, I detest weekly rosters. The best teams don't necessarily win in weekly leagues, imo. It all comes down to injuries.

Also, FWD confirmed that he received my funds so it's not me.

Thanks FWD for everything. Until next year everyone.

That's my major problem with it too...when Ichiro hits the DL for the first time in like 15 years when you draft him, or David Wright gets beaned in the head is on the DL for the first time ever and he was your top draft pick, you learn to be concerned about stuff like tha

Which teams did you guys take over?

I know guru is one the guys that left...

Incidentally, Truth is in that league and has been in last or second to last place the past two years..no history of non-payment that I know of. He's in the other league as well and has been for 4 years and actually has won it before IIRC...

The logic really was bad, whether you're right or not.

It's weird because I would have sworn you were already in that league...there's some team in there with a train name I think.

So off the top of my head, the roster of D-league 1 is this:

    Melmart
    Timvp
    Me
    Alamo
    EricB
    Spurminator
    ShoogarBear
    BaselineBum
    RuffNReady
    ErikS
    P<S
    AggieHoopsFan
    Truth
    J-6
    ATrain
    ThunderDan
    Horryfor3
    FWDT

I guess that's about right. Guru left but I'm not sure who the other guy who left was.

Really thats odd and nope im a rook in fantasy basketball (sorta). I tried it a few years ago but no one in the league cared to I stopped playing. How does the scoring work?

It's a point system based on a weekly average and the rosters are set weekly. I Will take you a week or so to get the hang of it probably. One of the more complicated systems that I have seen but it works well enough.

These leagues are extremely compe ive....and if you win you have to cut your roster down to 5 players.

Dan welcome to an entirely new world of the waiver btw...there are no limits in these leagues, they aren't needed, because these waiver wires are thin.

timvp won both leagues last year, including repeating in league 1. I was runner up in league 2.

League 1 was won in no large part due to timvp being aided by someone making the brilliant decision to cut Ramon Sessions who put up huge numbers during the playoff run......I wonder if timvp thanked them for the dough.

The roster cutdowns are brutal in these leagues...but just so you know, it's been proven you can repeat and win back to back and even sweep both leagues. timvp has done most of that proving....ErikS has done the rest.

I know its a keeper system being a dynasty and all so how many do you get to keep? What are the position slots? Is it 1 Center, 1 PF, 1 SF, 1 SG, 1 PG??

I think we should start making our baseball league a 1 or 2 person keeper league, that would be interesting.

I'm worried about taking over a quitter's team. Obviously if they have quit the league their team must suck....that is where my incredible GM skills will have to come into play

champ to gets to keep 5 players, runner up gets to keep 6, quarterfinalist get to keep 8 other playoff teams keep 10, everyone else gets to keep 12 I believe.

You have two rosters, one an active roster of NBA players and the other is a roster of prospects who are either playing in highschool, college, the dleague's or Europe.

You got a 3 man bench and the active spots are 2 C, 4 F, 4 G and I think two utlility players. You start 12, have 3 bench spots, two IR spots and a 10 man d-league roster.

You d-league(development league) players do not have to be cut unless they become active NBA players.

Past winners of leage 1 are...

Shyne(who I think quit and Dan now has his team)...he quit a couple of years ago but I'm pretty sure Dan's got his team, either that or Melmart's got it.
    FWDT
    Timvp
    Timvp

Timvp I believe had made 3 consecutive finals in league 1....and FWDT's cinderella team was the only one that stopped him.

Funny I just looked up waiverwire in the dictionary and they had a picture of some guy in a, "property of Dan Majerle" t-shirt...

    What are the odds?

In any case, I don't care if you are of if you aren't...I don't have any problems with people using the waiver wire, I just don't like it when the guy with the ty pitching staff can destroy the pitching staff of another by streaming pitchers in the playoffs.

you want to see waiver wire moves? The first year of this league timpv and I dropped our entire pitching staffs nightly during the post season...I mean like 10 moves a night a piece . I dropped all my closers and everything.

I think I had like 200 moves that first year with about 70 of them coming in 1 round of the playoffs.

I beat his scrub pitching ass in that first round but unfortunately I had nothing left in the next round and the other players not embroiled in a waiver wire battle were picking up my pitching staff off the wire at their leisure and building up superhuman pitching staffs that were not beatable even by streaming.

Eff that crap...I had no problem with people exploiting the loophole while it was there, I would have done the same, but it didn't need to be there any longer.

I doubt it...Ruff had him in league 1 and I don't think he's retiring. You don't have Chris Paul or Dwight Howard either.

    Whose team do you inherit?

A-Train got Guru's team which means he's got TMac, Shaq, Dirk, Deron Williams...among others.
