All broadcasts of any kind are handled through the NBA. The Spurs organization has nothing to do with it. If you want to watch streamed games you must purchase League Pass Broadband.
Does anyone here work for the organization. Have they officially commented on if and when they would stream games?

wrong, starting this season, the nba give the teams the optoin to stream their games on their website. there are already a couple teams that said they are gonna do it (eg. blazers)
I'll believe that when I see it.
It goes directly again a revenue source of the NBA that the only way I can see this happening would be for a fee or as a special League Pass package.
I agree. To give up those rights would be downright stupid by the NBA, and it's not going to happen.
Link?
Nevermind, found it.

How much will streamed games cost?
The pricing model is still being finalized for KGW’s 15-game package that will debut on opening night. Fans can expect to be given the option of paying a per-game price or purchasing the entire 15-game package in advance.
Does everyone have access to the games online?
Because of NBA broadcast requirements, the Trail Blazers are only allowed to stream the games within our broadcast territory, which includes Oregon and Southwest Washington. Fans outside of the broadcast territory are not subject to local blackouts, and thus can already access Trail Blazers games via NBA League Pass and NBA League Pass Broadband.

Definitely not free, definitely not available to anyone except locals who would theoretically be able to get it anyway.
Another quote from that website that could theoretically be of use:
3) The announcement provides new access to these games for a very small percentage of fans in remote parts of the region who are not served those broadcasts in their markets.
If the Spurs did this, then perhaps people in Austin would be able to see more games that would otherwise be blacked out or unavailable via local television. (Though people around this site have said that Austin isn't blacked out nearly as often as advertised.)
I already said I was going to. Just look in the gameday threads.
You are going to stream the games?
I'll sign ILP.
I hope it works well
That would break copyright law. So unless you have permission from the league, you can't post your illegal streams here. It's pretty clear in the rules of SpursTalk stuck at the top of the forum.
timvp sure wasn't complaining, but whatever you wish.
Why would timvp need you to stream games? We have League Pass.
I wonder if Seattle is in the region (probably not, but maybe)... still thinking of getting LP Broadband when I move.
Did you get a new job?
it was one of the pre-season games, I think the first one. It was only on DirectTV or something like that. Im not defending the streaming and I agree it shouldnt be posted openly on the message board because it could get you guys in trouble, Im just saying I agree with him that Timvp didnt complain at all and he was definately aware of it in the game thread.
now go scold him.![]()
Ahh.. yeah that's because the league doesn't care about preseason. They do care about the regular season though. And that's why they asked us years ago not to have the illegal links here for regular season/playoffs.
Yep. Moving to Seattle in a week.
Probably won't be able to make the first Spurs game in Portland, but would love to make the second and have a nice Spurstalk shout-out sign.
Well that's exciting. You'll come back to SA to visit though, right?
I still want you to scold him though.![]()
Oh, yeah... luckily, Southwest offers flights to/from SA/SEA for $200 with advance purchase. This gig came about pretty suddenly, but it was with a place I'd been talking to off and on for a year.
Look for SWA vouchers on eBay too. When I used to fly here every weekend to see LJ when we were dating, I used to get them for about 50% of the value.
If I get those... I'd definitely be coming back more often. Thanks.
Seattle is a great city. Good luck with the move and your new job Johnny_Blaze_47.
